Arrow deal reportedly $800k. They need forwards and they have to pay money to get them. Maybe, just maybe that’s why they have to offload a back or two to pay Latrell.
    agree!

Don’t forget Inglis’s money was split last year by the following:

His salary in Community Role. That was part of the deal for salary cap exemption
James Robert’s salary (proportioned at 33%)
Jayden Sua’s salary (proportioned at 33%)

this year his community role, Roberts and Sua full salary applies.

they also had massive upgrades to cook, Murray, Reynolds and some others.

sutton was on minimum due to being the 10 veteran under the cap

hence the need to offload players

As far as I'm aware he's not playing for free, that's a strange question.

However I am sure his fee wouldn't take up the salaries of GI, Gurgess, Surgess and Sutton combined, unless he's on about 3.4 mil per season.

I am not aware that Souths have confirmed they have yet signed Arrow so his alleged wage is irrelevant.

If you can't see how they have money to spend after losing that many top tier players I'm afraid I can't help you.
I can't make it any simpler for you to grasp.

It's not like Souths are trying to bring players the calibre of Tedesco, Cronk and two additional internationals in Hall and Morris all in one off season.

Now that would be worth questioning.

Reynolds has not been upgraded in the last season, neither has Murray. Murray is currently being worked on with an extension.

I still don’t believe he will even play fullback despite his desires. Bennett has done this before.
All good. I do agree with you. I also think there are few coaches/clubs that can manage LM to enable him to have a long career. I do not think Souths are the place for LM and I feel (unfortunately) that he will only last another 5 years in the NRL

even if latrell stayed at the roosters and he was handled with kids gloves to satisfy his every whim he still might only last 5 years. he doesnt strike me as a guy who lives to play league, he just happens to have a talent that can make him a lot of money. but it seems like work to latrell, whether that be at centre or fullback or wherever, not that there is anything wrong with not loving to play nrl . i guess you can compare that to guys like boyd or jake or even jake t from manly who give the impression theyd play for nothing sometimes.

You have missed my point which was Souths signed Roberts mid season as cover for GI. Read Tennessee Tornadoes previous post so I don’t have to repeat it to you. It will clear things up for you.
It’s obvious Souths have money to spend but they need forwards not backs. Even you would have to agree on that. Therefore if they want to be competitive this season they need players to replace the ones who have left.
One would assume Arrow is a done deal because he told the Titans he was leaving. He is a good player but his talent and ability alone can’t cover the forwards that Souths have lost.

I really don't care where he goes but as long as it is immediate.

I know the game where he lines up against us will get massive media coverage but im tipping the Wests Tigers boys will be feeling like duds- not even a million a year could get Latrell to play for them.

Really every game he plays will be scrutinised. When your team is winning and choc full of stars you can afford to drift into the background without criticism. He wont have that luxury in 2020

Also, The Roosters didn’t sign Cronk, Tedesco, Hall and Morris in the one season. Catch up.
If you’re questioning the Roosters cap management maybe you should instead question your own teams cap management, Troll!

The Roosters actually have an extensive Indigenous strategy including a Reconciliation Action Plan. It recently attained a level only equalled by one other organisation Australia wide. Thats all Australia not just RL.
Its more that just words of reconciliation its facilitating and auctioning educational and vocational opportunities for indigenous youth.

So I think the Roosters are doing more than lip service and probably more than Souths really do for our Indigenous communities
I have little doubt that this is true, but you could imagine that this does not have the same level of 'romance' as portraying that Souths is the (so called) indigenous club. The fans, media and everyone else in the game believes or wants this to be the case.

                    MRR or Rabid

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

I would like to see Souths have 17 Indigenous Aboriginal players running out for them.
Its so obvious that Latrell is going to Souths & I think the main reason he is going there is his liking of Cody Walker. I think Latrell really looks up to him.
He will be a top buy for you johnnysekret & it wouldnt surprise me if Souths get JAC as well.

An Indigenous backline will score plenty but will let in plenty as well.

Both have huge chips on their shoulders so probably get along well.

With their new management team, Wests worked smarter this time, made Latrell come to them seeking a contract, pledging loyalty and commitment to their brand.
                            Latrell was a no show.
Beware the Tigers in the not too far distant future.

I can see teams exploiting him in defence if Souths play him at fullback, and ending in tears for them.
