As I said in another thread, Latrell has really shown us what a DUMB, DUMB, DUMB guy he really is. Leaving the best club in the world for less money is DUMB. In October he was on top of the world but he really thought signing for an extra 100-200K a season was going to get him retired sooner. That is just DUMB. He stated he wanted to test the market which is fair enough. He stated this himself in that long interview that was on the NRL site.

Then after agreeing he could test the market Sydney withdrew their offer, childish thing to do.

He has a contract with Sydney for 2020, then they tell him not to rock up for training.

The disgraceful way we have treated him???? Like allowing him to go home whenever he wants to so he can clear his head. Like allowing him to play in the indigenous game when we had other commitments we could have rightfully made him complete. Maybe it was the way we nurtured his talent, sometimes with the tough love that was needed by sending him to Wyong in 2017. We treated him terribly by offering to make him the highest paid centre in the game as well. We've treated him terribly by allowing him to skip pre-season training after he requested an extension of time to sort out his future. Get your facts right before you start slinging barbs at us mate and have a look in your own backyard. Maybe GI would have completed this season and his contract if you guys hadn't made him play a full half of footy with a busted ACL a couple of years ago, yeah you guys are all about what's good for the player!

Well it seems that although Souths have signed Arrow for 4 years, he won’t be coming until 2021 because he wants to honour his contract at the Titans. Therefore Souths will probably have enough money for Latrell this season.
I just watched an interview with Braith Anasta on Fox and in his opinion Easts can’t win the premiership this season with the loss of Cronk and Latrell. Time will tell.
It definitely won’t be easy, not that it ever is.
We have to face it that Latrell is a big loss and our prospects will be diminished because of it.

Even without Cronk & Latrell, we still have the best team in the NRL on paper. That's a cold hard fact. We also have the best coach.

If we don't win the comp in 2020 it'll be down to the fact that winning 3 in a row is just ridiculously difficult and absurd. So much energy - mental especially - was spent going b2b. To repeat that AGAIN would be otherworldly.

Injuries are also the great leveller. We're one long term Keary injury away from a scrap for the top 8, let alone the title.

Either way, we went b2b and that'll never be erased. I said if we do go b2b that I'd never ask the footy Gods for anything ever again and I still feel that way (unless we play Souffs in a GF). So as a fan I feel as though we're free rolling in 2020. There ain't nothing to lose.
