Maybe just maybe the kid wants to go somewhere rich in his cultures history and play alongside his brothers like Walker which is why his willing to sacrifice so much money. How the **** can you hold this against the kid he came to the club and said he wanted to explore his options and did just that. Your mob wanted an answer faster than he was willing to provide one and therefore pulled the contract they had on offer.

But like i said weeks and weeks ago on this forum his wanted to jump ship for a while now and that did not sit well with Nick. The bloke is use to getting what he wants but to Latrell this is more than Rugby League. There’s a bigger message him and a lot of the indigenous boys are trying to cultivate much much bigger than just a sport. If he feels like he can achieve these goals for his people using the brand of South Sydney as the backbone so be it stop being so ****ing salty over it. What grown ass men let a sport effect them so much to the point of wishing such ill will on another human, disgusting.
Can't argue with that, I'm trying to keep an open mind although very disappointed he's leaving as there is not a better sight in rugby league than a rampaging latrell mitchell. I wish him well , it's only a game and it's easy to forget that at times lol.
it obviously could have been handled better but we all make mistakes ...however i do think dramas are going to follow latrell where ever he goes , he seems to be easily distracted with I suppose could be put down to his youth.
    Ps
our mob and club just went back to back so im I'm still fkn stoked about that....

Why are Souths “rich in his cultures history?”

Is it because there are more aboriginals shooting up and getting pissed in Redfern than there is in Bondi? The greatest Aboriginal player of all time was a Rooster.

I think the negative comments are just banter really. And fair enough. Some of us have followed his career since he was 15.

Would never happen. And nor should it.

So yeah, I just don't get it. And won't be wishing him well.

But hey, I guess we all support the club in different ways.
Yep, that's right. One thing to remember is we all support the same club despite our differences. Despite the spirited debate that goes on here, we're all on the same side.

Personally I've never felt the Souths hate - started supporting the club in 72, so Souths have hardly been our greatest competitors. We've won 6 comps and competed in 12 GFs in my time, while Souths have won one comp and never been runner up. And one of the benefits of not hating Souths is that you won't need to go into therapy if they ever win another comp.

I'm not sure this is a good move for Latrell. You can't run away from yourself and one of his issues seems to be that he's not sure he likes the rigours of being a professional sportsman. Maybe playing with a few more Indigenous boys helps him through the tough times, but I'd guess he's hoping rather than knowing that will be the case.

i dont particularly care that he is joining souths, i hate brisbane way more then souths. As i think thirteen said above, latrell doesn't seem to particularly enjoy the professional sportsmen lifestyle, the job is a chore and im sure fb will be too. i guess it is not latrells fault that he has this god given talent, i suspect latrells talent will still go unfulfilled given his potential, but he still has 2 premierships, an origin victory, multiple aussie jerseys not a bad cv for a 22 year old in anyones books.

Redneck?! That’s a classic. There aren’t too many rednecks born and bred in Bondi. You should know that Bondicigar.
