They sign Latrell and parade him around as if he's the trophy after they've won a 10th consecutive premiership while interviewing him and getting him to say stuff like "I want to rediscover my love for footy" and taking subtle digs at Robbo by complimenting Wayne. Anyone can tell that it's their attempt of trying to get one over us.
12 months ago a bloke by the name of Angus Crichton joins us from Souths. He is a Roosters junior and by all reports a fan of the club growing up. We could've used that opportunity to dress him all up in Roosters colours and get him big media interviews where he tells everyone about how playing for us has been a dream. Essentially the purpose would be to say a big fck you to souffs.
But no. I don't even recall us making an official announcement. He just showed up to the club and went about his business quietly while aiming to do a job. That's the difference between us and them. They're about publicly appearing to be the better and more preferred club. We don't focus on that petty shit. We win comps. And we will again this year, while they'll be lucky to make the 8 (calling it now)
Mitchell's dad began the press conference saying that it was a 'coming home'. He's a Souths fan and is thrilled his son is playing for them. Hard for us to fight that. (Kind of echoes Crichton returning here.) I thought Latrell had nothing but good things to say about us although his comment that he wanted to rediscover his love of footy was odd. He might end up as one of those players who have early success, think that will happen every year, but then reality hits them.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

Thanks for the memories Latrell. You had a chance to be a roosters legend and instead decided to turn against the club that has done so much for you. Your time at the roosters is done for good.
I hope you fail dismally at the Red and Green Vomit, and that you one day regret ever setting foot in that hellhole that is Redfern.
Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.
