Did he only miss 1 conversion tonight... the first one (one of the easier ones)?

Who was it calling him a lemon that's already been squeezed who's only here coz of his dad (a disgraced Cronulla coach whothey suppose somehow magically pulls the strings at Bondi)? I read somebody on here saying that today. Yet another 'Teddy/Cronk/SBW...etc is our worst signing ever' post. Can join the history books, just like this victory!

He's warming up. Last week the commentators referred to Keary playing both sides of the ruck and the Victor doing what he does in the middle makes it easier for Kyle.

Tonight i noticed that keary stayed more on his side and perhaps, well Robbo has instructed for flanno to have the keys more on the right side to gel with angus and co.

The real test will come for him against a top side in a pressure match or if keary isn't in the side.

I like the cut of his jib.

Well done to the kid. Played with a maturity beyond 21 years of age with only 14 first grade games.

He has a long way to go and will need time.

Honestly take not notice in a game like that. He did well but it means jack.
Finchy played in two gfs in a gun side

Reaching for a Finch comparison means Jack

He's doing well. He's not trying to over play his hand but doing all the basics well and then topping it off with a couple of nice touches. If he continues on this trajectory then he is building his game well and we will see an ever improving player. Too often young halves come in and try to do too much, so the temperament and control he is showing so early in his career is impressive.

There was an out ball he threw to Joey Manu last night that got me really excited, it didn't eventuate to anything because Joey got caught flat footed as I don't think he expected it - it's not a type of pass he has been used to receiving off Cronk or Keary but it showed he has a seriously good left to right pass and a really good understanding of variation in pass. The more those combos build with Manu and Crichton the better we will be as a team.

Good point about not trying to over play his hand. I can see that. He certainly seems very calm.

The ball he held back then threw to Crichton for the try was a beauty.

A big concern when Latrell left was how to cover the point she scores... looks like this might be OK...what was Kyle paying for leading point scorer?? Long way to go I know...but must have been good odds before this round?

He had a strong game although the Broncos were pathetic.

Not sticking up for Flanno but either was Cronk he worked extremely hard... If Flanno can build slowly over the season he will be ok ...Needs a lot of work on defense once he owns that the rest comes easy.

Flanno does seem pretty calm and this was one of Finch's weakness.

I am thrilled with the efforts of Flanagan over the past two weeks. He is looking so poised and comfortable, growing constantly. He put on a goalkicking clinic last night too. Very impressed with his progress.

                                Another brilliant performance.

The kid is a very composed, well rounded halfback. Kicks well, tackles well, passes well, great support play.

                                I'm loving his progress.
