  • If the club has any brains.....

They'll make a play for Stewart. Let's face it, Mini is rubbish. We need someone as good as Stewart if we want to be successfull. We've just lost the only dangerous player we had in Carney.

We do have Jwh and Tasi from the Eagles, Foran and Jwh are great mates. Stewart may come?? Braith and Mini retire, enter foran and Stewart??

Call me crazy, but I'd have an ageing Roosters legend like Mini, before a complete tosser mercenary like Stewart.

Beside aren't he and his grubby brother in the sight of St Merge???

I doubt we'd get Foran as well. Stewart will do. Cherry-Evans is better than Foran anyway.

Spot on Coggie. Unfortunately, this is the sort of person that our stupid board and Nick listen to these days. Fools who play the man and not the ball. No wonder we are a bunch of losers (every two years it seems. We are due for a top 4 this year, then failure again). Getting sick of it ... it should be US thats raping Manly atm ffs.

27 years old... No thanks, like I mentioned in the other thread high profile signings in the peak of their career have never payed off for us why do people think all of a sudden it's going to change?

When will you get it through your head RC that developing players is far better in the medium and long term for the club than racing out and purchasing the flavour of the week. We've been doing that for decades with fark all success apart from one claytons trophy.

                Chook.

Oh and cherry Evans....one hit wonder.
He will be Finch Mk 2.

Matt Orford. Well-coached half in a well-coached team. A dud everywhere else.

It is all Hasler. Most Manly players would currently command a lot more money than they are worth at the risk of turning out to be a dud.

Great Idea! Let's replace one injury prone, past his prime fullback who bleeds for the club and is taking a salary cut to play for us, with another injury prone, past his prime fullback who has no loyalties whatsoever and is selling himself to the highest bidder....
I support two NRL teams, the Roosters and whoevers playing Souths

                          Won't happen, anyway.
Get out clause in his contract has passed time-frame. Older brother apparently didn't have this clause anyway. Contracted to 2014.

Salary cut!!? Who would be the competition for his signature, Gold Coast??

I do agree though that Stewart is too big a risk, he missed 09 and 10 for injuries and his attitude has to be massaged and managed all the time.

I would prefer the Stewart Bros as a package but my ideal would be th enext Brett Stewart coming through our ranks, not the current one.

Have to agree, whilst he could be fantastic for 3 more years he could also spend most of it on the sidelines or just go through the motions...
