Um Fred, we did take Carney out of the last 4 games and we won them all.

IMO Carney had a poor 2011

Though the first half of the season I think he had an injury hangover

But he never really recapatured his 2010 form.

He also missed 20% of his tackles, that almost makes him a liability.

People are reading way too much into those victories. Storm didn't give a toss, Dragons woefully out of form, and we fluked late victories against the two worst teams in the comp.

The only thing we should read into 2011 is these muppets failed miserably in the games that counted.

Every game counts Dice - from first to last.

Supporters have taken heart from the last 4 victories because they came on the back of the punting of 2 of our supposed best players and showed that when the team actually plays as a team for each other they can actually play some decent footy.

The players could have thrown in the towel and played out the season like they had the rest of it but they didn't. They finally got their acts together, became united and showed that there is hope for 2012 if they come into the season with the right attitude and without the distractions apparent in 2011.

I agree. If those last 4 victories are anything to go on, well we are in a fair bit of trouble.

That explains why Bellamy was upset about the loss? comeback wins are posotive no matter who you play? the Dragons woeful form got them into the finals! It's important for all teams heading into finals to win and build momentum..

I think the fact we actually had a full six man forward pack made a far bigger difference than any apparent new-found team unity. Carney was always going to be less effective this year cos coaches had spent all off-season building strategies to shut him down. His best chance of being as dominant as 2010 was to have our young forwards step up and give him a nice platform to use his attacking skills closer to the line, or getting teams on the back foot with unset defensive lines from further out. And all season he got jack all when it came to go forward. Can you imagine how bad Anasta would look at 6 if he had Anasta playing at 11 doing f all to help his team get up the field. Let's just thank Christ we've only got to carry one Braith Anasta.

Mr Bennet was able to shut todd down in 2010. 2012 is the year that interests me most!

Whilst not making too much from those four wins they were a great reminder of how much more enjoyable it is to watch your team win rather than lose. I enjoyed each of those victories thoroughly.

Totally agree with this Yak. Having a complete pack made a massive difference. We have too many good forwards at the moment to carry Anasta.

When evaluating signing any player you need to consider does he fill a need or needs?

                        - Do we need a fullback for 2013? YES
                        - Do we need speed for our slow backline: DEFINITELY YES
                        - Does he have that x-factor: YES

I would sign Stewart in a heartbeat. So what if he has a past record, he was found not guilty and over half of the top players in the game have some issues or bad records.

lol....2 players is every flavour of the month haha....you are one clueless mofo dude.

And to call Stewart flavour of the month is moronic...he has been consistent for yrs and yrs.

And Wing was a key signing: Fact

And Fittler was a key signing regardless of the spin you put on that signing.

And every success this club has over it's history has been based on key signings.

Obviously you know nothing about this club or it's history.

But i enjoyed Ray Stehr and Dice taking you to school and showing up the stupidity you regularly sprout.

You make way too much sense for some of these muppets dice.

We played ok when most of the pressure was off but when it mattered (the first 22 rounds) the kids fell apart. Our final position flattered us and yet our roster for 2012 is worst that 2011. Interesting times next season, it will be funny watching the dreamers on here lose it. Can't wait...

Yes I did and look at him go at the moment, he's a lot better than most of the players we have now. So Manly re-signed Williams and I've said that the club should buy Stewart if he's available. I suppose you'd rather they used Johnathon Ford when Mini retires than someone like Stewart? We have possibly the worst backline in the comp. Anyway I was proven right about Williams and Stewart is a great player so what's the problem. If they dont buy a couple of established stars they'll be up shit creek but hey we've got players like Ford woopy fu&$ing do!
