  • Roosters 5/8 statistic comparison

    I guess it shows what we already knew;

    Mortimer smashed it in 2009.

    Carney smashed it in 2010.

All 3 were down on form last season.

    Carney is error prone.

All that proves, yet again, is that Anasta is subpar 5/8th.

And we're stuck with him. He's like the retarded redheaded kid you have to pick for your football team because his mother and your mother are friends.

We are going to miss the line-breaks made by Carney..

I guess that is why they are working on second-phase, and off-loads..

        We don't have a genuine line-breaker...

          Tom Symonds?

To make you feel better, Pearce made 2 line breaks last season

I thought that was Symonds. Anasta is like the useless betch that gets picked in the hope that the other team will go easy on you.

Yes we will definitely miss Carneys running game.

His line breaks and tackle busts were quite high.

If Mortimer can reproduce his 2009 form as he got himself really involved and ran the ball like Carney did in 10, 11 we may have the answer to our 5/8 problem.

Great work, hope Morts gets back to form.

Part of Mortimers success in 2009 was on the back of Hayne and Moi Moi's great form.

In 2010 they played him at half back with the odd game at 5/8, and both Hayne and Moi Moi were down on form.

                      It affected Mortimers form/performances.

In 2011, the Storm and Dragons did a number on him, they obviously did their home work.

In other games, he actually played well, and I posted his stats in 3 games where he performed just like in 2009.

If we play as a solid unit, and everyone plays their part, this will give Mortimer every opportunity to capture that form.

I'm backing him to do well.

Looking at those stats he offers a hell of a lot more than Anasta..

It's sickening seeing just how bad anasta is.

                              I agree.

He is a more affective runner of the ball, he is more allusive, faster and creative.

You want your 5/8 asking questions, taking on the line.

                              His kicking game is better.
