  • Best possible lineup for 2020?

    1. Tedesco
    2. Tupou
    3. Tuipulotu
    4. Manu
    5. Morris
    6. Keary
    7. Flanagan
    8. JWH
    9. Friend/
    10. SST
    11. Cordner
    12. Aubusson
    13. Radley
    14. Butcher
    15. Collins
    16. Liu
    17. Crichton

Alternatively, Kepaoa or Hall can come onto the wing with Morris in the centres or Ikuvalu in the centres with Morris on the wing. This is still a premiership-winning side.

      1 Teddy
      2 Toops
      3 Iku or Aubs
      4 Manu
      5 BMoz
      6 Keary
      7 Flanno
      8 JWH
      9 Friend
      10 SST
      11 Cords
      12 Angus
      13Rads

      14 Liu
      15 Collins
      16 Butcher
      17 Verrills

I think Verrills has to be in the team somewhere. Then we have Tupouniua and Hall as possibles. B Moz and Iku could swap.

Yeah, we've got a good team. Agree that some talking points are: who to replace Latrell?; do we play Angus for 80?; how do we use Sammy V?; who gets first crack at replacing Tets - Collins or Sitili?

Henry your number 3 is an interesting call.
I have never seen him play.
Can you please tell me about him.
          Who has he played for?
Have you seen him play much?
          Is he fast?
          Can he tackle?
Is he a left side specialist?
          How big is he?
Did you consider him ready for first grade before Billy got injured?

          Thanks for any info.

I hope we don’t go into the year with Aubo as the permanent replacement centre. I doubt this will happen.

Me too. That will murder a whole side of attack and make us a lot easier to defend.

No way Tuipuloti will be playing centre and in any case he plays backrow in the lower grades - certainly no way near NRL Standard

Would Sam be any good at centre while waiting Jakes retirement

The Roosters will struggle I predict in 2020 - the depth is very very slim in the backs and especially the outside backs meaning Robbo maybe be forced to use Aubs/Crichton as centre replacements- They have filled 28 out of 30 positions and say they wont be going to the market to replace Smith whom is out for the season (ACL) one assumes- rumours about Addo-Carr coming to the Roosters are growing though -2020?

                    1 Tedesco
                    2 Tupou
                    3 Morris
                    4 Manu
5 Hall/Ikuvalu/Kepaoa - (Hall is not built for speed one has to say- a Mark Protheroe /Ikuvalu okay to fill in but for whole season? / Kepaoa is a Toops type of Winger but still developing)
                    6 Keary
                    7 Flannigan
                    8 JWH
                    9 Friend
                    10 SST
                    11 Cords
                    12 Crichton
                    13 Radley

                    (3 to be omitted)
                    14 Liu
                    15 Aubs
                    16 Butcher
                    17 Verrills
                    18 Tupouniua
                    19 Collins
                    20 Bailey

While a lot have been talking up Matt Ikavalu, I didn’t remember seeing him in any of the training pics.

These photos are from the session that Smith injured himself.

I only saw Matt in a group photo.. photo 41.

Judging by the photos, it seems Kepaoa might be in front with Morris shifting in
The Roosters kick start Week 3 of pre-season training with a strong field session. The session included a guest appearance by Head Coach of the Sydney Kings, Mr Will Weaver.
                      ..it’ll be interesting to see

I'm of the belief that the media was thrown a curve ball of us not going to the open market. It keeps the cameras out of our business and Robb will quietly have a few chats with a potential replacement. It may not happen for a few weeks, but i think a cheapie backline backup will come on board shortly and Robbo will be accussed of being a Bennett, lying to the media....how dare you lie to us, the supporters need to know your business and so do I (Andrew Webster)

Based purely on your past record of predictions, this kid will probably turn out to be a superstar.

While I'm pretty sure we will sign another back before the comp starts, on current available personnel I'd play Bmoz at centre and young Kepaoa on the wing.

Bmoz has played fullback and some centre and is smart and adaptable. Would do the job.

Kepaoa is quick and skilful. Wasted a bit on the wing in CC but Robbo would definitely bring him along that pathway in firsts.

Im not a fan of playing current backrowers in the centres. A big no to that.

We definitely need another credible outside back. Another injury and we are in big trouble.
