Talk of Adam Doueihi joining the Roosters as soon as this week. Versatile player. Would be a good signing.

Conflicting reports othe D out there .. he has been quotes as staying and seeing out the year at souffs wants a shot at 5/8th ...so I guess that means he is coming.
Dont get your nickers in a knot over him ..solid up and coming player ... thats all he has shown.

If we don't get him I hope there is someone else on the radar.

We can't go the full season without a replacement for Latrell/Smith.

Yeah I think the Roosters aren't sold on Lachlan Lam as a cover for the halves and Drew Hutchison isn't really that flash/creative enough to play with confidence this season. Last year with Cronk and Keary there was literally two generals on the field and both showed their individual brilliance at times running the side but when one or the other was injured and had to be paired up with Drew Hutchison or Brock Lamb we did struggle a bit in attack and control so with Doueihi being versatile to play in the backs and halves... it's a no brainer to seek out his service

I am saying no way jose as I still recall his wing effort in the 1/4 final- not NRL standard long term yet

I think Smith has to be replaced in the 30 internally but there are 2 more spots in the 30 - don't know anyone they are chasing but one figures it should be a centre and a utility back- weakening a position (wing) by moving Morris to centres is thwart with danger - if it don't work who then -Maubs?? - Worry is also right wing - I figure Robbo will start with Ryan Hall - not the quickest about and one has to be concerned about his ability under the high ball and opponents kicks behind the line in whether he will have the pace to turn around and win the chase for the ball.

We do not need Douehi. Campbell Graham is the only Souths player we could use.

He is a good player too but at least Douehi is versatile.

Halls safe under the high ball for the most part. Turning around is another matter

Doueihi reportedly told his vermin teammates he was leaving at training this morning.

The Roosters/Raiders/Storm are in the race to sign him.

Adam Doueihi has walked into South Sydney training at Redfern on Wednesday morning to tell his teammates he is leaving the NRL club.

It is still not known where Doueihi will be playing this season, however, The Daily Telegraph understands that several clubs are showing interest, with suggestions the Sydney Roosters, Canberra and potentially Melbourne are now in the mix.

Doueihi would be a suitable option for all three clubs given the current strengths and weaknesses of their respective rosters.

It is believed that Doueihi and his family have been less than impressed with the way the Tigers have baulked at paying the money the Rabbitohs wanted to secure his release.

Doueihi felt that there was no way he could keep playing at the Rabbitohs, given he had been told by coach Wayne Bennett that it was in his best interests to leave if he wanted to be a regular first-grade starting player.

The Tigers, who recently missed out on signing Latrell Mitchell, are now at risk of losing the race to sign another of rugby league’s rising stars, with strong mail that other options have emerged.

Doueihi has been a popular figure at the Rabbitohs for several years now, and showed what an outstanding prospect he is with his courageous performance in last year’s semi-final loss to the Canberra Raiders.

Doueihi has been extremely emotional in recent times after learning that his future at the Rabbitohs was uncertain. However, at Wednesday morning’s meeting with his teammates, there was plenty of support, as he is convinced he is making the right decision.

At 21, Doueihi is seen as a representative player of the future, who can comfortably play fullback, five-eighth or in the centres.

He has already represented minnows Lebanon at international level.

While Doueihi’s big chance of playing his preferred fullback position would be at the Tigers, several rivals have shown interest in him playing in the centres.
