Seeing the Roosters have just updated the teams page and now have 30 players on there books and with NRL squad numbers due in on March 1st.

Are they planning to cut someone from the squad to allow a new player to come in before March 1st ?
Can Billy Smith be removed from the 30 man squad for one year to allow someone else in?

They Would also be some of the development players on there

Sam Walker is only 17 so I don't think he's even allowed to be part of the Top 30 NRL Squad. So I assume he'd be one of those said development players.

At the end of the day both Robbo and Uncle Nick don't pussy foot around. They are decisive and successful individuals who will know that a new left centre is required and will act accordingly at some point on the recruitment front.

Nick said he's in Canberra with Robbo tonight and wants to pick my brain over some duck pancakes and a bottle of Grange at the Commonwealth Club. Presumably he wants my opinion on the matter before making any rash moves.

What should I tell him?

Flanno wont flop in my opinion. His first few games in first grade in a depleted sharks outfit he looked a ready made first grader ( yes his goal kicking was off a bit ). In our system plus Cronk helping him I really think he will shine this year once he settles in

we need a strike centre or another meter eating/ finishing winger to fill the gap Latrell left. From what I’ve seen Adam is solid but nothing special and I think his best position is fullback where he won’t be able to play at the Chooks anyway til origin time
