When has a club made a player stay at their club knowing he doesnt want to be there?

I can't think of one recently.

To hold a 33yr old ex rep player, universally respected in the game, against his will when he wants to play out his final season with his brother in his natural position of left centre is truly next level.

I think the Eels tried to organise a player swap for Matterson before eventually releasing him when nothing eventuated.

Maybe the Sharks are doing the same. Trying in vein to get a player in return but we know they'll cave anyway so ain't offering shit.

That's true, but perhaps he could be offered up with another player, such as Collins or Farma. I just think we should bide our time. We are not in a desperate position - well, not compared to Cronulla as it seems, if media reports are anything to go by. Mind you, I do get wary of such reports, but then both the Tele and SMH have stated similar things about the Sharks' cap.

JMoz ain't out of the question just yet. Gus will not play much centre....that ones a bit of a hope and pray though.

I will be interested to watch Kepaoa and Tuipolotu go around in the Gosford trial this weekend.

Personally I'd give Kepaoa a go in the centres early rounds (If JMoz hasn't signed by then) and see how he handles it.

Not sure this will happen before Round 1, might happen but not anytime soon.

Morris has been named at centre for our trial this Sunday with Xerri still not ready since he had off season shoulder surgery. He might not even play Rd 1. So until Xerri is playing I doubt Morris is going anywhere, especially with Dugan a big question mark.
