1. I don't even know what a salary cap sombrero is. Where did the term come from? Novelty Mexican hats and salary caps are sorta separate, ay?
2. Aside from the Storm (which involved the system being cooked from the top down), most cap breaches seem to come from poor management and incompetence. I dunno why we get criticised for hiring competent accountants to manage the books. It's like calling me corrupt for getting a better tax return by using an accountant + planning things a bit better. Doing things properly <> cheating... it's doing things properly!

It was a breaking news story after the Curtis Scott report. The coach was against the move, but the board looks as though they have had the last say, salary cap bottom line. The compensation of $100k was mentioned as being in the deal.
