He played some of the best footy of his career last year but you never know. If Robbo picks Angus in the second row once JMoz comes and wants to play Sammy in the 17, and Butcher and Liu are guaranteed spots, you've got Collins, Sitili and Aubo contending for 1 place on the bench.

I don't think anybody's guaranteed a place. Also don't think Verrills is guaranteed the #17 (neither are Collins, Butcher, Liu or Crichton). Thus, there's 4 bench spots up for grabs and the best 4 will get the nod, with who that is to be re-assessed on a rolling basis.

Just listened to Joe Kelly on Roosters Radio. Jmoz isn’t a done deal. I’d say it’s to protect us in case he gets a bad injury in the next two weeks. Not sure how that would impact on Poasa doing a deal with the Sharks. That’s if he wants to leave.

my understanding is that the NRL won't register a second contract for JMoz until the Sharks release him. So if gets badly injured playing for Cronulla we won't sign him. Seems like John Morris is taking a big risk - if JMoz gets badly injured we won't take him off them, they will be stuck with his 350k in their salary cap and will have to get rid of another player who isn't on minimum wage.

We haven't announced it so it sounds about right. Guessing we'll announce it when it's a done deal (could be minutes after his round 2 game).
