How does a decent winger allow Joey to play his natural game. It's NRL, whoever is outside of him will be capable.

I was surprised Joey re-signed. I was sure he would be looking for an opportunity at hooker at another club. I thought the Tigers would throw big money at him to take over from Farrah,

Asu kepoa seemed to be in front of ikavalu at the back end of last yr, being named in our 19 man squad

I wonder if the club won't use their WCC trip to do some scouting in England.

We will come up against a St Helens team in it with Kevin Naiqama who I always thought left the NRL way too soon as he had a lot to offer just kept getting injured at critical points in his career.

Mark Percival from St Helens, 36 linebreaks and 23 tries last year from centre for St Helens. Big risk as outside backs from England have had a horrendous success rate in the NRL recently.
Cheyse Blair another who I thought was definitely up to NRL standard as a centre when he was playing for Melbourne, again unfortunate injuries at critical points of his career.
Kane Linnett was a real underrated part of our 2010 success, strong defender, limited output in attack. At 31 could do a job for a year until Billy Smith is fully fit.
Ricky Leutele was a really good NRL centre, just criminally underrated and would be a terrific signing. Great footwork and had the ability to set up his outside man. The most naturally talented centre in the super league IMO and would definitely be in the top 10 centres in the NRL if he returned with us... IMO.

Hard to know how much to read into that though. Robbo has been very open about carrying a 19th man as a learning opportunity for players with no real intent to actually play them.

Leutele would be the pick of that bunch, but he is on 800k at Toronto so he wont be walking away from that in a hurry.

I just can't see how people think Ikuvalu is the solution to fill the void at left centre.

Sure he has a go, but that's what he gets paid to do. Brett Finch and Michael Appleby had a go too. I only have memories of him spilling the ball and making countless errors, in first and reserve grade.

I can't see us winning a hat-trick with Ikuvalu as a regular starter.

                    Correct Vasco

No way Ikavalu will be the full time centre!

Who would you play at centre?

                      Question for you too Vasco

And I can't see why many here seem to write Iku off. He did some great work last year, solid under the high ball, scored one of the best wingers tries I've ever seen, beat Ado Carr in a race to save a try. I guess we will see what happens, but to my mind he was far better than Hall, who I really like but he looks so slow and clumbsy.

I think we will really see if Hall is good this year especially since he will have a decent preseason unlike last year. And I agree, ikuvalu was great for us in the 10-11 games he played. Don’t know why some dismiss him

I wish I knew the answer.

Those in charge are clearly concerned if enquiries are being made outside the squad on players still under contract with their clubs.

I'm starting to warm to the Dugan rumour. Never thought I would ever say that.

Honestly R6 the way the current roster is set up, I would say Brett Morris ( Although I would prefer we sign a specialist centre possibly in the ESL ) to fill the void..

In regards to Ikavalu, he has filled in and played an important role for us on numerous occasions but I can’t see Robbo relying on him as Latrell’s replacement...

                              Just my thoughts mate

I remain 100% convinced that we'll add someone at some point. But the club will be patient.

Not only are we two centre options short of where we were 6 months ago, but we must also bear in mind that BMoz and Ryan Hall are rather fragile.

Robbo & co will 100% be looking to add an extra option imo - but they won't just jump at anyone.
