Just reading that Don Furner Senior has passed away. He took the Roosters to the Grand Final the year I was born (1972). Sad news. I always wanted to see David Furner play for us but it never happened, thoughts with the Furner family.

Though Don jnr never played at NRL level Don Snr did play first grade in the 1950s and or 60s a long time before you or I even knew what RL is or even existed lol. His other son David played and coached.

RIP Don Furner.
It is always sad to hear about someone in the rugby league 'community' passing away, but especially so when they had been involved with our club somehow.MRR or Rabid
Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.
