This will be a good game to watch , all those young Roosters will be looking to impress.
I think the halves especially will want to have a big game , are they capable ?

Young Sam is not 18 yet - still 17 years of age. So he can't play at NRL level. Once he turns 18 he can play in the NRL - may not be until after 30 June if he's on a development contract.

Will be a good hitout for the Bears.
I'm curious to see what sort of team the bears & jersey flegg name considering there is meant to be all 3 grades on and we combined both those grades best for 1st.

Considering that will be very close to the Bears round one team it's a good question.

I suspect the "Bears" team on Saturday will be a composite of mostly Flegg players from both Easts and Norths.

Might see JT and Flo pull on the boots still look pretty fit!

Is that the Knights reserve grade 3/4 line, too?

Christian Tuipulotu might be the dark horse for left centre

Looking forward to Morettit getting out there.

Ikuvalu must not be in the mix for the left centre position.

I know Christian is young and raw, but gee he was that guy in the 9's where he fumbled a ball in the in-goal area trying to ground it with no-one around him!! Hope he improves on that effort.

More of a 3-legged horse in terms of his chances.

He'd be about 6th in the pecking order behind Crichton, Bmoz, Aubo, Ikuvalu and Kepaoa.

Gotcha mate..thought it was a brave call for the lads up against Ponga, Pearce, Klemmer, Watson etc!

Will do their confidence a lot of good if they can go with them though.

These sorts of games are gold for coaching staff heading in to the new season.

Surely Jason Taylor will be coaching on the night.

It should be good to watch the young and developing players have a run around. I am going up.

Even though Sam and Ryan are unlikely to play, I am okay with that. We do not want to run the risk of any injuries.

If the Newcastle Knights struggle to win this one, they would have some major issues to resolve and questions to answer!

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.
