I just watched the 2020 ad for the first time; followed by the 1989 version, then the 1990 version.
I’m offended that people are offended. Especially Chooks fans. I thought better of you. Get a life, get a wife..it’ll be interesting to see

Leaving those shots out of the add would not offend anyone.. no body has ever complained in previous add campaigns that gays or the indigenous flag weren’t in it...
So having them in there is not being politically correct or trying to appease anyone or a response to offended snowflakes!
It is just an add that shows that the game does cover a broad reach and is inclusive....
Trust me, I work at a University and know what political correctness is... while some aspects I agree with and see as just plain courtesy... a lot of it is nonsense!!!
i just don’t see it in this case and feel any complaint is usually due to people’s own prejudices!
As I have said before I have 2 indigenous son in laws and they don't like it , what would you like to accuse them of , they agree its not about what it should be football.
What sort of ridiculous comment is it that you say Quote nobody ever complained in previous ad campaign that gays and indigenous weren't in there .Quote that's because it was an ad about football.
I also have shown you what the definition of Political correctness is and you still wont accept that so maybe we need to look at what is being taught in you university
Again another definition just written a little different for you and this isn't my definition its from the dictionary
Again nothing to do with politics
What is the meaning of politically correct?
politically correct. adjective. If you say that someone is politically correct, you mean that they are extremely careful not to offend or upset any group of people in society who have a disadvantage, or who have been treated differently because of their sex, race, or disability. The politically correct are people who are politically correct.

I reckon they should have just made it about football , highlight real of the last decade of great tries , tackles , runs , Grand finals and game , great moments in the game , not great moments in the street .
Show the fans , show different race and gender but don't highlight it , that's just my opinion and that's were I think they went wrong .
We all follow football and we follow the Roosters because we love them both , not because we are indigenous , gay , Asian , male or female so make an ad that reflects our passion
And of course should have focused on the Roosters

What I am saying is that it would be politically correct if they added these issues to pander to or appease a minority because a minority group was complaining that they should be represented or never have been represented. They were added to show a diverse reach of the game and show how far the game has come in 30 years both on and off the field and the many issues the game has confronted and embraced as part of it's recent history since Tina Turner. (some good and some bad...)
My comments about politically correctness were never aimed at you regardless as you said that you didn't mind the add....or others who have said they just don't like the add because it doesn't cover footy.
My comments were aimed at people saying the NRL is trying to be too politically correct with this ad.
I'm just stating that they didn't make the ad to be politically correct or pander to any groups snow flaking that they should be included... it's just an ad that covers a whole range of things.
But I don't like it because like many, I think it doesn't have enough great moments especially showcasing the first club to go back to back in 30 plus years. I think you feel the same as you state.
I'm a leftie but can't stand the left wing snowflakes that cry and are offended about everything...I'm for indigenous rights and recognition but know that all sides of politics wants the indigenous community to thrive (yes there are extremes).....in this case there are many of the usual bigots who are doing the whining because they would rather not be confronted with issues they do not feel comfortable with for whatever reasons.
Anyway, that's my thought and I'm happy to have my mind changed as I've done on many issues in the past.
And yes..its spelled ad not add...so hard to spell it with 2 Ds!
