Next time, all the hundreds of billions being ticked up on the national credit card this time will likely not be available. Millennials will be paying this pandemic debt off all their lives...won't be the baby boomers, we'll all be dead. They won't be able to afford all this debt again.
IMO next time cruise ships will be treated very differently...I wouldn't want to be on one then.
If I had it, I'd bet big money there won't be any more "Ruby Princesses".
If people leave Australia on cruise ships, a future pandemic strikes, and they're stranded in their cabins for weeks, and/or at sea with nowhere to land, will they have anyone to blame but themselves?
In future, before people leave Australia's shores, they should be told that "if things go pear-shaped for you overseas, you won't just be able to phone 1800ScoMo and have a limo/flying kangaroo arrive to take you home", shouldn't they?
Trump is telling Iran, that bad things will happen to it if it is found to be killing American troops in Iraq.
I wouldn't want to be an Aussie stuck in Iran/Iraq/Middle East if the big missiles start flying. Qantas etc flight crews should not be put in danger trying to fly global rescue missions. 50 Qantas staff have tested positive, you'd hope they didn't contract it on those 'controversial' flights to/from China.
ScoMo launched a tirade the other day against live markets in China.

The next pandemic is already coming, unless humans change how we interact with wildlife, scientists say.
At a “wet market” in Wuhan linked to an early cluster of coronavirus cases, at least one store sold creatures including wolf cubs and masked palm civets for consumption. Such markets, experts say, feature stressed and ill animals stacked in cages, bodily fluids sprinkling down, as well as butchering — prime conditions for viral spillover.Last edited by bondi.boy; 04-05-2020, 09:53 AM.

Our roads are carparks now.
Dick Smith says it, I agree with him, immigration should be severely cut back, stopped for a while now until we work out just exactly what we really need to do.
He says that sooner or later we're going to have to put the "House Full" sign up.
Immigrants use water, we don't have enough water.
Immigrants consume groceries...the shelves are empty.
Mr Dutton says "there's plenty of food/groceries". The shelves are still empty.
"Big Australia" , 50 million population, ridiculous.Last edited by bondi.boy; 04-05-2020, 09:44 AM.

My biggest concern is our medical officials having to play God and let people die because there are not enough beds and equipment such as ventilators, like what is unfolding in places like Italy and Spain at the moment. I hope it never gets to that stage here with many people losing their elderly loved ones. Our health system is one of the best in the world, but even that was never designed for such a widespread pandemic such as this. Italy's is also up there and look at that country now. Quite surreal, really.MRR or Rabid
Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

USA is the largest investor in our economy.
Without brave Americans there would not be an Australia, let alone Sydney Roosters.
Next time you see American sailors at our footy matches you might want to bow down and give thanks.
Chook.

Stopping China from blocking the South China Sea?
British forces surrendered in Singapore.
Battle of The Coral Sea. WW2.
Many US Navy sailors and pilots gave their lives. Stopped the Japanese navy.
Japanese bombers carried out 64 raids on Australia over 18 months.
Eventually US planes ruled our skies instead.
We were saved.
Now departed mummy dearest and her ilk were rejoicing when they discovered that the planes overhead were American and not Japanese...and that they were not going to be captured and turned into sex slaves etc.
Today:
US drones spying on and taking out terrorists overseas are guided from our outback.
US, part of the Five Eyes intelligence network.
Trump, Commander in Chief of the big guns, big missiles, big ships, big planes.
We need America.
US marines rotating thru Darwin.
More US bases are to be built in Australia...oh happy days.
US military personnel march in our
Anzac Day parades.

Girl fined for being in a car with her mum giving her a driving lesson.
"Non-essential travel"...pay $1,600.
Yet people/families can go to Bunnings and shop, shop, shop...no fines.
Cops/govt are not winning any friends.
They might have trouble selling tickets to their ball...and having voters ticking them at the next election.Last edited by bondi.boy; 04-06-2020, 08:56 PM.

The NSW cops are going a bit softer here, or more common sense now.#We Stand with ourJewish community#

Yes, it's ok in nsw, driving lessons, but not in the state where she was booked. (ACA just stated that her fine is being reviewed).

Just stating facts.
The virus will kill you, including young people.
Whine?
More like cool, calm, rational complaining.
Sealed car, not stopping anywhere, no danger to anyone, girl had been 'locked' up at home, mother thought she would get her out of the house for a while, didn't realise they were doing anything wrong....mother a responsible sounding person.
Girl said, and rightly so, what I've been saying here..."people and families are going to Bunnings" (what's 'essential travel' about going to Bunnings).
Gotta be careful the killer virus doesn't spread..."social distancing" .....but the policing must be reasonable, if "we're all in this together."
