Sons of the mothers...mothers in one aged care facility in Sydney where residents have passed recently...are emailing "shock-jock" Ray on the radio.
"I think mum, who has tested positive, is just being locked in her room and left to die."
Another; "Mum is locked in her small room, not allowed to have a shower, breakfast comes at 10 am and is cold. She has diabetes. Her blood sugar levels are not being tested properly."

Elderly...underlying conditions some of them, got the virus, might pass away anyway, but surely they deserve that we try to save their lives.
Surely we haven't reached the stage in this country where we just lock elderly people in small rooms and let them die alone.

At least they deserve to have us try to save their lives.

not a fan of some of the persecution of Chinese people in Australia. a lot of them have been here for generations and later ones have come here to escape communism. in my experience they are down to earth and hard working.

Anyone intent on persecution-revenge needs to identify the correct offender...In this case seemingly the govt of China.

One problem as I see it is that on tv are seen Chinese people here stripping shelves in supermarkets and sending the products en masse to China.

That's very true Mickey. I had a neighbour (Roosters fan) whose mother was Indonesian and her dad was born in Lebanon like mine was. She copped a lot growing up and her answer was always along the lines of 'There are jails in every country"

One woman [now deceased unfortunately], in this forum in America, she was a school teacher working for good not evil, she was nice, just misguided on some issues...told me once that:

Para; "You, as a White man, cannot sit at the table anymore ...you can only sit under it [and eat the crumbs], because of all the things you have done, slavery, raped and pillaged the world".

Then here...when I was listening to the radio one afternoon, Chris Smith on the radio alerted his listeners to this, in the paper, spelt out very clearly:

Discrimination against white males will soon be encouraged

Discrimination against dominant white males will soon be encouraged in a bid to boost the status of women, the disabled and cultural and religious minorities.

Such positive discrimination -- treating people differently in order to obtain equality for marginalised groups - is set to be legalised under planned changes to the Equal Opportunity Act foreshadowed last week by state Attorney-General Rob Hulls.

Equal Opportunity Commission CEO Dr Helen Szoke said males had "been the big success story in business and goods and services".

"Clearly, they will have their position changed because they will be competing in a different way with these people who have been traditionally marginalised," she said.

"Let's open it up so everyone can have a fair go."
Victoria's peak business body expressed concern yesterday about the need for the proposed laws, and questioned if they would undermine the right of companies to make legitimate business decisions.
At present, individuals or bodies wanting to single out any race or gender for special treatment must gain an exemption from VCAT.

But the proposed changes go much further, allowing the commission to inquire into discrimination, seize documents and search and enter premises after attempts to bring about change have failed.

Businesses and individuals would be required to change their ways even if a complaint had not been received.
Action could be taken where an unlawful act was "likely to occur", not just in cases where discrimination has taken place.

The first raft of changes to the Equal Opportunity Act were introduced into Parliament last week.

i agree that white people are as important as everyone else but this is hardly the place to argue about it.

maybe politics is more important than sport but not in a sporting forum it isn't.

Sure, we all have different political opinions, but we're here because we all support the roosters. harping on about politics, with its inevitable divisiveness, is like a catholic going to an inter-faith religious meeting and calling Martin Luther a heretic.
