As the covid 19 destroys our economy with markets tumbling , petrol in the negative 50 usd range and everyone feeling the pinch. The chookpen has also been taking a hit, with the content quality in free fall for some time. I think the annual subscription should be slashed by say 75% and make it mandatory to join.
If people want to play silly little fake multiple membership games make them pay. It will shake out the serial pests at least. Any long term members who can't afford it, give them a free membership.
That's the problem with email spam, it's free to send. Charge 20 cents and it starts getting expensive spamming thousands of people.

I actually agree with this even no I am not a financial member,.personally wouldnt be able to justify throwing $100 at continuing to be on here but for those who can I would think it would make for a much better experience

when cab drivers were doing it tough they'd go through toll gates without paying the toll so that they'd have a bit more to spend putting food on the table (or backing a long shot at the TAB). When the toll collecting companies started to charge for toll reminders compliance got close to 100%.
