The nrl are doing there bit at games by social distancing players, seating them apart on the bench and not letting them shake hands after the games. Essential travel yes they probably qualify but there have been some developments at the State level since then.

With the new measures introduced by the NSW and Victorian Govts, I'm not so convinced it will go on.

Many businesses will be forced to shut down by Tuesday and speaking with a friend of mine who owns a little cafe. Loves his footy but said he will feel like rioting and a few others will if the government says the NRL is an essential service.....

Mate I would love for the footy to continue, especially next weekend to smash up Traitor and the Vermin scum but it's going to come down to how successful V'landys manages to convince the authorities to keep the game going for a few more weeks.

Either way, if the Coronavirus infection stats goes into the tens of thousands which it will in 2 to 3 weeks it will be game over, whether a player tests positive or not...

In the scheme of things the NRL is not an essential service. When other small businesses and non essential services are being asked to lock down, the NRL should be too. I don’t want it to happen but gee, I don’t want anyone to lose their incomes either, or worse lives. The NRL is not an essential service.

It was always gonna be done ..It was stupid of them to continue.Thats why I have only seen 2 games all year out of boredom..the comp has to shut down or be suspended ..this means if say in 3 months a shotened comp comes back then you will have to raffle the games etc. of who plays who and every team will have a chance to win it our supremacy will not count.
