It seems to me that Cords is fine to play and is fired up but Trent is keeping him on a leash.

Imagine he will be like a rabid dog then come round 3 against the vermin , let him of the leash and tear into them

Boyd is the captain and one of our most experienced players, yet he will just be a spectator when we go into the first match of the season already having lost Cronk,Mitchell and no Angus in the forwards?

doesn’t add up, but Robbo is always coming up with new ideas to keep players fresh and interested, can only wait and learn.

C’mon don’t believe that BS. No way would Boyd be ‘rested’ in round 1. Hasn’t played for months.

He isn't being rested from round 1 he is undergoing a high intensity training block in the hope of avoiding all the soft tissue injuries he has been suffering in the mid/later parts of recent seasons.

Can you explain to me what a high intensity training block is?

Boyd has another three years on his contract, looks like we gotta expect him to play no more than 15 season games a year to see him through til the end of 23.

How do you know this? I’m not questioning you I’m just keen to know what’s really going on with the skipper.

Why would you not play your captain if he was fit and healthy? Give him a early shower at every opportunity.
if your not fresh for round 1 there is obviously a injury concern.
Plus the only way to get match fit is by playing,
To suggest bringing him back in round 3 is a way to preserve him is laughable. He will be off the pace until his match fitness catches up to the rest.

It is a high workload targeted training program that is a preventative measure in the hope of cutting out the soft tissue injuries (mainly calf strains) Cordner has been suffering later in seasons in recent years.

You think we are getting Jmoz for half a year? All this effort, i dont think so.

So far all That’s been mentioned is he’s being rested and his injuries managed but we don’t know how serious they are. They might even force him into eatly retirement.

Trent was asked if Boyd would be in the team v Souths, his response was “he trained really well today, and he should be in the mix, there are a couple things he needs to do this week to finish off”

what the hell does any of that mean??
