Cordner's Injury

In grand final week last year I was told two things by a friend who is close to Uncle Nick.
1. The GF will be Latrell’s last game in Roosters colours.
2. Cordner was in serious doubt for the GF and there was concerns about his playing future due to a knee injury.
1/2 was right but I wonder if the second part also has truth to it.

This is the maturation of Trent as a coach. He has ready and willing replacements in the backrow and can manage his captain through the year. He showed it last year and it paid dividends for this year with the possibles becoming probables..it’ll be interesting to see

Cords knees are something that will have to be managed for the rest of his career. He has already had stem cell therapy to regrow cartilage but the best outcome to be expected would be to minimise the spread of arthritis and delay a total knee replacement.
Boyd only knows one way and thats full boar. He runs and tackles like his life depends on it. Thats his biggest asset but it's also to his detriment. The club is going to have to hold him back on the number of games he plays......theres no alternative.

Compare that to the Vermin who run their players into the ground by playing them when they're obviously unfit to play, sign them to long term deals and then claim medical retirement and relief under the salary cap.Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.
