  • Difficulty of going B2B

Our achievement last year is understated as it’s extremely difficult to do a B2B in today’s game.
It was proven once again this morning when Liverpool were knocked out of the Champions league after winning it last year, even though they were having one of the best ever seasons by a soccer club.
If we manage to threepeat this year, and I have all the confidence that we can, our team and club ought to be regarded as one of the all time greats in the history of rugby league.
    Go roosters .

Just going B2B already puts us as the greatest of the modern era.

I am thinking we will go back to back to back with an asterix. 18, 19 and 21 as 2020 might not be able to be completed due to coronavirus.

Very true. Spreading through the crowd is one thing but imagine if a player gets it. Could have devastating effects on a LOT of players.

Injuries & luck play the biggest part of whether or not the Chooks win 3 in a row. If Keary gets another concussion he could have to retire which would be deverstating for the Chooks 3peat. As much as I rib bondi boy about Kikau I do worry about Keary this weekend because the Panthers plan will be to get the ball to Kikau so he can line Keary up.

The winter break has killed Liverpool's momentum they have been atrocious since then.

Agree on the injuries ,luck and suspensions all have a huge bearing on the teams chances. Along with moronic players like the Bulldogs duo which can kill your season.
Kikau lines up on the left edge Mickie he will be running at Flanagan not Keary this weekend. This will be a great test for young Flanagan's defence as kikau has a terrific left foot step or can beat you on the outside with his big right hand fend.
I'm sure the ever reliable Aubo and Manu will be helping the young bloke as much as they can.
This year will be even harder than last year when I was extremely confident all year we would win it but we will give it an almighty crack with Robbo at the helm.
We have that confidence and arrogance that champion teams have.
Great to have the footy back.

Happens every time, it’s been painful to watch them recently. At least footy’s back and the mighty Roosters will give the 3 peat a red hot go.

my heart bleeds for you - not. Why, oh why, did I have to pick West Ham in the mid 70s?!

Yes and no. Last two years we had a horrible run of injuries and still won because our juniors stepped up (e.g. Matterson, Radley, Momirovski and Verrills).

IMO resilience is a big part of our DNA. Keary could get abducted by aliens and we'd still be in with a serious chance I reckon. IF... everybody (not just his replacement) is willing to step up.

Agreed. Unfortunately the mainstream morons will find ways to discredit the achievement.

The Keary thing is always in the back of the mind. In fact I shudder every time he gets smashed through the bus stop glass on the Kayo ad ...but I breathe a sigh of relief when he gets up and gives chase !
