FWIW I used to train at ES Mark's and live in Paddo so I'd jog back through Moore Park (remember how it had that leisure centre and stuff before?)
Anyhow, I saw some random dude doing some kind of a ritual that involved holding a bat by its wings and ripping it in half. I never worked out what that ritual was (even asked a witch - she had NFI).
Personally wouldn't touch the things.

The only good bat is a dead one.
They're a menace, good for nothing, but are protected.
Wherever that photo of the woman eating the bat, and eating bat soup, was taken...it seemed to be in China/Asia somewhere.
I don't buy any food "made in China" or made in any Asian country.
There's plenty of it in our supermarkets, you just have to read the labels...and read the labels in the supermarket delis.....sliced ham "10% Australian content", "20 % Australian content."
Where does the other 80/90% come from?
Communist China tried to cover it up, the existence of this virus, punished doctors who tried to tell the world.
"Time to punish communist China" callers to 2GB are saying.
Oh the folly of exporting 'all' our manufacturing jobs to communist China.
The folly of having everything we go to buy here "made in China".
The folly of having no oil refineries here.
I don't eat 'Skippy' either.Last edited by bondi.boy; 03-17-2020, 09:30 PM.

Bats are big pollinators and vital in keeping crop destroying insect populations down. Just like all wild animals just let them be. You leave them alone and they help you. You kill and eat them and they will fark you up!

Or the other wild animals they eat...wolf pups, rats, snakes, bats, civets [some kind of wild cat]. Gee, what could possibly go wrong.
Seem to not have a problem eating Koalas either.

Koala 'for braising' gets traveller stewing
An Australian traveller says he was horrified to find a live koala for sale at a restaurant in southern China where the menu was offering the iconic marsupial for dinner in either "braised or stewed" varieties.
A sign on the cage holding the animal advertised "koalas" for purchase at a rate of 139 yuan ($A20) for 500 grams.
#####
Doesn't really look like a koala.
I suggested in another forum at the time that we should start advertising "braised Panda for sale" in reply..Last edited by bondi.boy; 03-17-2020, 09:33 PM.
