I would love to see Mitchell over the pre season improve his attacking game out of dummy half, his ball playing, running and kicking. I want to see him fully punish any lazy/slow markers! It would be great to have Dumbrell really challenge Mitchell for that back up hooker position to keep Mitchell pushing hard to better himself.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

    Here's looking at you, kid.

I just love how you post your opinions as facts. And you have the nerve to bag Phil Rothfield?

        Totally disagree.

Pearce is the current NSW halfback.

He will stay as the Roosters halfback.

IMO Mortimer played better at 5/8 than he did in his time in the No7 role hence why he went back into the 6 jersey.

Look for Pearce to have a massive season .. in the No7 role

Someone once described the Ant as like someones little brother who comes along to play footy in the backyard with the big kids.

              I agree with that description.

I think Anthony Mitchell will be even better next season.. Bigger, better defence, quicker and smarter, and hopefully even better passing and kicking.

Mortimer is a terrible 7. He is far more suited to 5/8 and never should have been shifted to 7 by Parra to accomodate Keating. I agree that Pearce would make a better 6 but out of the two I'd take Pearce's organisational skills over Mortimer's any day, cos he quite simply doesn't have any. He is a good support runner, has a good short kicking game, good runner from dummy half and a decent defender for a half. And that is about it.

And I do hope you're not suggesting Braith will move back into the pack. Does nobody else think it was more than a coincidence that in the last 4 games that we won Anasta was not in the forwards. We probably gained about 8-10 hit-ups and 15 odd tackles a game from the back-rower that replaced him. If Anasta is anywhere in the forwards, do not expect anything special from Mortimer.

On Mitchell, I'm a big fan of the kid's attitude and he did a very good job late last year but I honestly think from what I've seen of Dumbrell he will be the eventual bench hooker. He is lightning out of dummy half, much quicker than Mitchell who isn't slow. He's still probably a year off full-time fg but hopefully cracks grade some time this year. He is the type of hooker that behind strong forward momentum can score on his own from 50 out. Not many of them around these days.

                    Totally agree Yak.
I watched Glenn very closely in 2011.....as well as being nippy out of dummy-half, he's very deceptive and backs up really well.
His season next year for the Jets will determine whether he's rocks or diamonds.

one thing i think ant mitch needs to get out of his game is when he is dummy half and he stands up and double pumps the ball before he passes. this lets any play the ball advantage go. it works well when he is runnig at the defence but not dummy.n he has good marker defence and is very alert to whats going on on the field.

I'm glad someone else notices that. George Gregan did that for the Wannabies and it used to drive me spare.

Yeah, that is kinda useless but he's still lacking experience.. Give him a few more games to learn the tricks of the trade.
