I hope that none of the players read comments from the chookpen. As a life time roosters fan I would never have guessed that a site that is dedicated the mighty club would contain such a large amount of pesimistic whingers.
That is decent squad. Dont under estimate the power that passion and heart can do for a footy team yet if they read the majority of your threads they would be thinking "why bother."
Start being positive and get behind our team!!
Keep up the positivity though, it may rub off onto others.

Originally posted by Chook View PostA good young squad, lots to look forward to next year especially with most of the top teams being weaker in 2012 than they were in 2011.
Dragons = no Bennett.
Manly = imploded
Warriors = new coach.
Broncos = Lockyerless.
Cowboys = one man band.
Tigers = have lost a heap of players and are renowned chockers.
The Storm are the only top 8 team from last year that'll begin 2012 at full strength.
Bring it on.
Chook.
Matt Scott, James Tamou, Dallas Johnson, Tariq Sims, Gaving Cooper & Glenn Hall is a very good forward pack.
their backline:
1. Bowen
2. Fai Fai Loa
3. Tate
4. Linnett
5. Niko?
6. Thurston
7. Lui
If that's a one man team then I'm not here.

Plus the loss of Ivan Cleary will be a huge loss.

Evans (prop), Cordner (backrow), Sheck (outside back), Wells (outside back), Blackman (hooker), Moore (hooker), Tago (prop) and Tuivasa (prop) are all confirmed as still eligible for Toyota Cup in 2012, although I am not too sure about Usaia O'Sullivan. I'd expect Cordner and Evans to get plenty of match time for the Jets and a bit in first grade too - these blokes are serious prospects.

Amazing youth
Interesting to see the culling process, Lazarus, Pritchard and Naughton all weeded out by Supercoach Smith
Me, I would just like to see some halves with a kicking game that can get us some repeat sets and a has variety beyond kick for the corner and the midfield bomb, we have to be able to land a kick in the in goal on tackle 4 or 5

If i could sign any player for the Roosters today it would be him. As far as i know he is not signed for 2013, i would make him the priority signing. He can play halfback or 5/8th to go alongside Pearce very nicely.

Really?
Who is then?
Braith?
No, no, Braith is too busy doing his work "off the ball."
Pearce, with some help from Friend, is the only one who organises our side.
