I really can't believe all these negative comments about Anasta. In my opinion, I would still rate him our best player. If you really watch the game you will notice how many important tackles the guy makes covering for other players. He is close to our best ball runner, who creates opportunities for his outside men. He does a lot of importtant things on the field that usually goes un-noticed. He is also capable of the BIG PLAY. Anyone who thinks we are not going to need his experience next year with the young team we have, have rocks in their heads. Of course he is a better player at 5/8, bit if we do happen to get Maloney next year and Anasta ends up in the second row then so be it. He played in the second row in 2010 and we qualified for the grand final. If the young guys are good enough they will force their way in front of himbut I'm, not sure they are just yet.

Yeah the point most people miss is he is a very smart player....often running the hole or creating it but his team-mates arent usually in the same zone...and the oppotunity is gone.

Its pretty amazing some are spotting him as the weakness in our squad....most clubs would love to have him.

1) Why has the club signed Maloney to play 5/8 when we already have Anasta?
2) How come when rep season comes around Anasta's name is no where near linked to the origin side?

Anasta couldn't even make the city side ahead of Kris Keating, that is embarrassing!!

People are kidding themselves by saying Anasta is a great player. He offers us nothing in attack and he is constantly shifted into different positions so that better players can fill the roles.

He is a liability and we wont win a premiership with him in our starting lineup. I hate that this is the case but I seriously think it will be a wonderful day when Anasta announces his retirement.

The only good thing he did for us was kick the field goal against the tigers at the SFS. He is a great guy, but I would rather him not be in our great clubs team.

Pearce and anasta play a similar game, none can offer something different, like what carney provided. Maloney would suit Pearce far better and it still leaves us with the third option if braith in the forward pack. Did we not get to a gf with braith in the forwards and his form was great, many people (non rooster fans) were giving him a huge rap.

Top draw players are not shit at origin and certainly not fairly decent club players, however he is paid like one.

Idiocy, stupidity, the club is run by morons, Anasta and Uncle Nick are going to take advantage of the changes to the marriage act...take your pick.
