He has one good game against us when we played like shit and you all thik Foran is fantastic. he is average at best. Maloney by miles over that Manly gimp.
I agree, Maloney over Foran at this stage of both of their careers

    Foran has potential though

He is still very young with the world at his feet

Right him off at your own peril

He is solid behind a good forward pack - like anasta was, like Pearce is, like the Pom at Melbourne. Average.
Mhmm, because every single first grader has to play like Fittler or Daley or Lockyer...
Foran is 20, Widdop and Pearce are 21, hardly fair to compare them to 3 of the best playmakers the game has seen, especially at their age, ffs.

      • Weidler in the SMH today:

        MALONEY'S ITCHY FEET
JAMES MALONEY will ask the Warriors for a release for a second time to join the Roosters next year. He has already had one knockback but with a pregnant wife, he wants to get home sooner rather than later. And the Roosters have room in their salary cap - around $300,000 up the sleeve for next year. They cleared out the likes of Todd Carney, Nate Myles and Jason Ryles to create the room.

        • Interesting, I can't sit through another season with Bwaith in the second row making 30 metres from 3 hit ups a game though.

I just got a semi from reading that. Compassionate leave, I like it.

If Maloney comes and this happens we won't make the finals

If Anasta is not screwing the balance of our forward pack we have a good chance at making the 8 as long as Kennedy plays at least about 70% of the season.

              • I reckon it's still a big possibility that Anasta will continue playing for us in 2013 regardless..

I was told the same from someone who went to the coaching forum, something along the lines that "Braith is safe or set or some such"

                  • I feel sorry for James Maloney. He'll be made to look useless behind a 5 man forward pack. And think of all the tackling Friend will have to do again. I can't see one positive to Braith being in the forward pack and anyone that says he's a great link man to the outside backs is kidding themselves. A guy like Cordner could do that job with ease and still rack up 15 hitups and 30 tackles.

                    Can we start another petition?

                    • If Braith re-signs for 2013 and beyond I will lose all faith in the Roosters board...signing Maloney/re-signing Friend is a massive step forward, please don't ruin it.

Braiths a quality experienced player....why wouldnt we re-sign him (baring injury)?

I wouldnt get too hung up about what number he has on his back.

That's everyone point about the number on his back. We don't want a bloke with 11 on his back doing a number 6's job. We want a payer that is going to get big metres and tackles.

Yes he's a great leader but he doesn't pull his weight in the forward pack!

The fact that he could potentially be stopping Guerra/Aubusson/Takairangi/Cordner etc from starting is what pisses me off..

                            • mortimer is more as utility player fror our club? filling in as required and or coming off the bench, its up to him now!

                              • It will be the same problem again. Make no mistake we are pushing to get Maloney for 2012 if he comes Anasta just isn't needed. He isn't a better 5/8 than Maloney and he isn't better than our 25 backrow options.

The real crime would be if we kept Anasta for too long and lost some of our young talent.
