I'm glad we signed Maloney he is a massive talent, I am also in the minority that thinks regardless of position Anasta adds value.

I've never been one to bag Anasta too much. I was excited when we first had Carney, with the options Anasta was to provide from the backrow in attack. The problem is he doesn't offer enough as a backrower. He doesn't run the ball enough, or make the required tackles. With guys like Aubusson who have a reasonably good passing game, yet makes metres and tackles his heart out, I just don't see a long term future for Anasta.

Whilst having experience in a team is great, there have been plenty of successful young teams. I think we have 2 or 3 young guys who could easily step up to the captaincy and lead like a veteran.

Honestly, would you rather a 30 who has experience but has no talent, or a 23-24 year old who is approaching there prime and has immense talent?

If he had no talent, he wouldn't be where he is today! Only a small percentage can make and he has. To say anasta has no talent makes you a fool.

Experience is everything, when a game becomes close, its those guys that will win it for you. Tigers finals game in 2010 perfect example. Produces a kick to get a repeat set, even though jwh dropped it, he still positioned himself in a position to produce the kick that would have sent us packing.
