I remember very well watching Robbo play. He was a prop. Ran pretty hard. Probably lacked a bit of agro. His face was always very red when he was playing. I mentioned this to him when I saw him at Bronte. He had a laugh.Comment

The best coaches usually haven't been outstanding players. Robbo, Bellamy, Long Tall Sally, Jack.
At least after the captain coach era.

True. Freddie might be another, but that is probably not clear cut. Ivan Cleary was a reasonable player, perhaps a reasonable coach? I don't think there are many other standout examples, so I think you are right Jack.MRR or Rabid
