Two high tackles in 3 games and we're being targeted??

It's not only high tackles...it's the thuggery in tackles on the ground, and while being gang tackled.

It’s 1st grade football bb played by tough, rough thugs. The players love it & spectators like me love it. The Roosters give as good as they get.
I think the ballet starts up again soon if your not into violence.

The new and hopefully improved NRL, should let everyone know what the rules are now.
If it's now "rough, tough thuggery" then fine...I'm sure we can do that too.

Stay down and get them to look at it. Robbo says we don't stay down, but nothing ever changes. The only way to make it change is to lay down and demand they look at it.

Headless chooks thrash about with no clear direction.

If our players keep having their heads attacked they won't have any clear direction either.

18m 49 along into the 2019 GF...Radley gets the ball, then has his head attacked by a forearm to the face/head...bye bye 'Inflictor' for the rest of the match. Off into dizzneyland went he.
Because of it we suffered for the rest of the match. We were greatly disadvantaged.
The NRL should change the rules to make that sort of tackle punishable by not only a penalty but 10 in the sin bin at the time, in the match, on the day.

We don't have the same team that won us two premierships...no Cronk, no Latrell, no Tetevano.
I believe we're not as good, struggling atm to win games. We made many errors in our first two matches, including Keary's bombed try. That didn't happen in 2018, 2019.
It could be that the players were tired from the WCC campaign, tour of Spain etc...or it could be that the major X factor players we had are no longer with us...or it could be that we will be rested and firing when the comp resumes.
Many 'could be's...time will tell.
Starting 4 points behind is a rip off...if the comp is changed from what it was.

If a team was good enough to beat the reining premiers then let them have their points. They earned them. I have no problem with that.

If the comp resumes in round 3, let them keep their points. If we are all starting from round one in a new comp, everyone starts on zero.

Exactly correct.
If we just keep jumping back up all the time, it will just keep on happening.
There's a difference between taking big swan dives to try and get penalties and being genuinely attacked around the head, but not injured enough to have to go to the head bin.
Penalties are vitally important these days, as the teams become more evenly matched.

I have no issues with the tactics employed against our boys. We are the benchmark, clearly the best team and organisation of recent times. If other clubs weren't doing whatever THEY thought was necessary to beat us they would be letting their fans down.Also like others have mentioned, the game isnt that hard these days in terms of 'thuggery' so i am sure the boys are ok

So if we need to beat Souths in the first up resumed blockbuster game...[they are two points in front of us], our players should be allowed to thuggerise their players in any way they think necessary to win, so as not to let down us the fans?
IMAGINE what would happen if JWH and co started attacking the heads of Souths players on the ground and in gang tackles...and nearly taking their heads off in high tackles.
The penalties would be 3-26 against us instead of 3-9 like happened to another team, whose coach later complained about the 3-9.
