I'm Shattered ,He was my all time sporting hero along with Mohammad Ali
Since I was a boy I have always been lucky to know him and see him through out the years and a great night I had listening to his and Peardy's stories a few years ago .I last spoke to him on the phone 4 weeks ago.
RIP he will be missed Im shedding a tear for him.

              The end of an era.

God Bless Artie. The image of him being chaired off the SCG after flogging Saints will live forever.

RIP Artie - A gentleman who also gave up his time to speak at Billy Gunns Benefit night recently. I got to shake the big mans hand. What an honour. He and Johnny Peard were hilarious together.

Just heard it on the radio, what a legend of a player, a true great of the game. Watching highlight reels of the man, he would have kiiled it in todays game. Rest in peace Artie....may the pies always be warm, the pastry crunchy and the gravy rich and smooth!

This is one of the sadest days for Rugby league !!!

The only positive i can find at the moment is that his legend will live on for generations and he will ALWAYS be known as a Rooster Legend......

Cannot find any other positives at this time
