i don't see politics as left v right like you so we're not really on the same page. i prefer smart v dumb.

as for me being fair minded, I think that's right (even though you're being sarcastic). I've defended bondi boy's right to be on this forum (although he could focus on footy more and not post so obsessively).

haha - but you were pretty keen to post on non-footy related things before covid. Like I said I defend you're right to be on this forum (did you read that part?) but you could post a little less. you're more on the mic than the other boys and girls. not saying you have to post less, but you'd get less bad feedback if you toned it down a little. often times you will have posted six of the last half dozen posts on a thread.

My main concern is re breaking the rules.
Also, in forums, if there are enough people complaining to the mods about you, you can be for the high jump.
I've seen it happen elsewhere.

Agree Zac. Why does it have to be left v right? Is it possible that neither is 100% right? There’s lots of shades of grey for me. And a poster’s opinion or political view should not be a prerequisite for their right to post here. Left, right, swinging or whatever. I’m certain I’ve met people who have a completely different opinion to me on a whole range of topics yet are wonderful people. Then there’s those who might agree with me but are totally arrogant and unpleasant individuals. I do not like the way the Chookpen is being divided along political lines. So and so should be banned because he’s the wrong political colour and vice versa. Sorry I’ve probably rambled on too long now.

Mostly I respond on this forum. The Anzac Day thread for example was not about football, it was political just as seemingly passing references to Greta, Gladie, the "new" stadium and Smoko are political. Some of it is dog whistling and some is just plain ignorance invariably spouted from a Newscorpse source ( I say invariably because Murdoch (now there's a Skeletor for ya) owns the preponderance of news and opinion outlets and, pretty much dominates opinion. You'll find the Right Wing political bully everywhere though the most common habitat is among those who have "done well" usually from inheritance which is the biggest source of individual wealth in Oz. The most annoying, however, are those working class blokes with the arse out or not a whole lot better who stick fats with the wealthy through sturm und strang and there is plenty of 'em - they made up the ranks of the racist SS. It doesn't seem to matter that the wealthy and their political reps have never done anything for them (can anyone post a list of Tory benefits to the general public apart from the guns which are on the way back). They've been got to way back, probably through mum and dad or religion - Communism bad (for whom?), fossil fuel good, climate change bullshit, Unions terrible - and these gooses haven't really got a dog in the fight but they spread that shit in forums like this one. I have to say though the Anzac Day thread has been a regular from me for a few years but is purely a mark of respect. Most treated it accordingly bar the usual suspects.

Just when I was resigning myself to wilful ignorance some bastard bastard starts rockin' the angora goat. Ironically, buddy what's motivated you to respond is what motivates me too - opinions on here that you don't much like although I do try to reason rather than rant.
