I'm currently paying $10/month for Disney+ and it is crap. Even my kids don't watch it, but I'm still paying for it. If the NRL fee was $10/month to see all 8 matches live, I'm in!

How much would you pay for an NRL digital stream?

There was a thread about a 24/7 RL channel on the old Wall many years ago which was interesting, but we only had the very expensive Fox or Optus back then.
The NRL receive $320m per year from broadcasting rights. A RL article from SMH a few weeks ago (by Masters or Webster) said SOO broadcasting for just 3 games was worth...wait for it...$100m per year!! I thought it would be worth about $30m.
If 1 million Ausie households subscribed to $10 month NRL and broadcasting for SOO is $100m, that leaves the NRL $100m short. How to make up shortfall? Overseas markets? Especially while NRL has jumpstart on the other sports?
It'll mean we can slowly wean off Ch 9 and Fox.
I have heard this was what Greenburg was trying to do and we know how that ended. In which case maybe he's not the fool we thought he was.

A contract maybe?
NRL $10pm for all 8 matches? (across how many devices?)
Much cheaper than Foxtel....if price is the concern.

I know there are streaming Chanel's but our internet in the area we are is very slow so probably not up to it

Remember the way Rupert and his papers carried on when the NRL signed with Nine only!!
”We’ve always preferred AFL”
This time the NRL will have 2GB, Daily Telegraph, SMH and Nine and the Sky nutters attacking them non stop if they didn’t sign with them!
Who ever relaxed the cross media ownership laws made a mistake for many reasons! This is one!
