They are hardly going to come out and say they can’t.

Most of the other teams are rabbles. There are only 2-3 contenders. Of course we have a chance. Does anyone still care though?

Breaking news: Roosters say they definitely won't and will not try to win this year

The start of the season will show what clubs have best management (even more then usual) - those who struggled most to keep their players focused in the break are in for a tough start

And yes 100% still care and I'm sure most chooks fans on here will too once it resumes

I think many people care more than ever tbh...absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I'm missing Rugba League more than ever.
We have a good chance. Melbourne and Canberra look like they're on a mission. It'll be tough.

Yeah I reckon one reason we'll struggle is that we're a more technical team than most that relies on having better defence...etc.

IMO having a shorter, less stable season will favour teams with:
                - Simple tactics.
                - Lotsa big forwards.
                - Crafty (but undisciplined), ad-lib playmakers.
                - A history of good luck with the refs.

Of course we have a good chance though! We'll still be one of the fittest teams and we have a good, winning culture. Anybody who's packing up after 2/20 games is a dead set flog. There's heaps of time for us to climb that ladder and everybody's in the same boat.

Will be interesting if the Raiders anti-vax trio will be banned

Agree with most of that. New scenario, new approach, will hopefully work in our favour. Tailor-made for Robbo.
Hoping Collins gets plenty of game time. Greatly improved handling and consistently bending - punching through the line. Flannagan will need that.
Interesting to see if the work rate and professionalism throughout an entire game that Josh Morris brings negates the need for that x fact
Tipping Warriors to have the most favourable penalty count at end of season. Just a hunch.

Not sure what happened there. As above.

Interesting to see if the work rate and professionalism throughout an entire game that Josh Morris brings negates the need for that x factor Latrell brings. How will it pan out?

Perhaps the extra rest will see a rejuvenated squad - the last few seasons have been long, lots of injuries, lots of rep players, WCC etc

Update: they can play if they sign a revised waiver

Presumably it's their fictitious spiritual mastermind advising them not to get a flu jab?

Sigh. I don't wanna degrade this thread to a low quality politics/religious sledge match but IMO this isn't a time for politics or religion, it's a time to think about our health.

I'm just glad I haven't polluted my family's lives with inflexible BS like this. Guys, the world has bigger issues right now than your religious cult!

IMO it will and it won't. The way I see it...
                            - We'll lose a couple of games (like our first two) where we didn't quite earn the win but one freakish try (and a few freakish drop-outs... that's a massive loss!!) from Latrell woulda nailed it.
                            - Overall our defence will be tighter and we'll be a more formidable team to play against as a result. This isn't discounting the fact that Josh Morris is more than capable of muscling his way over the line during key moments (e.g. Origin).

No flu shot no play? Don't we live in a free society where we get to make our own decisions?
the gov said they will open pubs when they get enough people to download the covid app....
No app no entry, can everyone see where this is going?
