Anyone rate Penrith? I wouldn't mind meeting them in a GF just to erase 2003 which annoys me still. They have been a bogey team and if we meet them in a GF, Robbo won't make the mistake of taking them lightly like Stuart did.

That one still haunts me as it was a super shyte day. IMO if it wasn't such a wet day we woulda won easily. I know you've gotta be prepared for all conditions but we had such high quality backs... seeing them go absolutely nowhere when they'd made easy metres all season was very painful.

Meh. I feel like we've gotten them back multiple times (including 2010). Although yeeeeah something something something... 2014 was an absolute shyte as well, wasn't it?

Penrith are the real deal. Burton is a real talent and they have a young willing pack with these rules they can do anything. Def one to watch out for.

That was a shiite night for me as well. Only highlight being I got to take a leak with the legendary Mark Harris. The Panthers fans were pretty obnoxious where I was sitting after the game - kept singing 'I'll have chicken tonight' after that stupid commercial. Even upto the train station. (Was wearing my Easts jersey of course).

A real rookie coach mistake, but I was super confident we'd smash those pussycats in the GF as well. Even more so than us getting a threepeat this year. We were almost unbackable favourites going into the match.

The rain, Freddy playing with a busted wing (care of Pueletua tackle against them just a few weeks before), the Riff playing their best game all year and a bit of complacency from our part lead to our downfall.

I remember Toddy Byrne getting smashed on the Wall after the game for some time. Some of the comments were outrageously funny.

That Sattler tackle and the Gearin try in the 80 GF always gets played whenever GF highlights are shown and it gives me the shiiits.

I'm go around crowing after games and cheering for Easts. However, I won't go and attack the opposition fans while they're licking their wounds. Doing so is a bit like cheering loudly when somebody makes a mistake in tennis. IMO you should cheer your player's success, not the failure of others.

In 2017 I went out and had beers with random NQ fans coz they were all champs after the game (having beaten us). Ooooh they were proud and happy (understandably - I congratulated them). However, they weren't dikkheads about it.
