He's filthy with the draw, the mid season rule changes and points standing for the first two rounds.

It wouldn’t matter what the draw is the Roosters are not going to win the comp because losing Cooper & Latrell is to bigger hit. The winning team of the comp this year will have to cop slack from some parts of the media & every fan from all other 15 teams for ever.

I think we will win the comp again; injuries permitting.

The best defensive side generally wins the comp and we remain the best defensive side at crunch time by lengths. If Flanagan can hold his own then we remain the most well rounded team, too. Jmoz is a massive addition and turns that left edge into an impenetrable wall.

Also, the 0-2 start is exactly what we needed to refocus. It's given the boys the requisite emotional letdown with a nice lay off to get that fire burning again.

Additionally the tough draw is a positive, not a negative. We'll be battle hardened come finals where as the likes of the Raiders and Eels might be softened by weak ass draws.

The stars are aligning. We just can't see it through the telescope yet.

What is their obsession with an uneven draw. We play Dragons round 7 then round 13. How hard is it to play every one once then the extra 5 games

It's the extra 3 rounds that are the problem...with some clubs being "Winners" and some clubs being "Losers" in what they've been allocated.
They should've been decided by lotto barrel style draws....true luck.
If after the nationally televised 3 round lotto style draws the Roosters were in the Losers category...then so be it...Lady Luck would've dealt her hand.

Agree. Embarrassed himself and the club. Love Nick but he should keep his mouth shut. I hope he hasn’t lost the plot. Giving opposition clubs plenty of ammunition to use against us. He wouldn’t care too much about this though.

there's no doubt the draw's unfair on paper. you get the feeling that if they could have had us playing 5 top 4 teams from last year they would have. still, no easy games in the nrl and we sometimes don't go so good v weaker opposition. bring it on.

That's part of my point , a powerbroker like Nick doesn't do anything without a reason . If he says things that make him look negative in the publics eye it wouldn't be without an ulterior motive . What me and you see as a dumb statement and I do agree it was may well be just part of his strategy . Or l it may well be just a dumb statement
