How long can JWH keep up this ridiculous pace with his fitness work ethic and demand of being a front rower as it is looking likely that the interchange drops to six in 2021?
Honestly I just can’t imagine life without the big fella. So much love for this guy. Check out the short clip on Sydney Roosters YouTube channel (not sure how to link it here) he is looking absolutely jacked at his absolute peak, young Collins is in love with him and looking big also what a standard to follow and if looks could kill then that would be his profession he wouldn’t look at if place in 300. SPARTANS!

yeah, here until at least 23 i think when he'd be 34. looks like he's at his peak now, maybe the last couple of years he goes for quality rather than quantity. but lazarus won a comp in his 34th year.

As long as he wears the jersey he won’t ever let us down. We won’t be able to replace this bloke. On or off the field.

His work rate is amazing...I watch him off the ball all the time, not on purpose but because I can't help but notice how much ground eh covers around the middle of the defensive line. Great agility for a big guy ..has it all ...quick play the ball, post contact metres, off loads , mobility etc...and would be a great front rower in any era!

IMO you're just as likely to get injured during a 20 minute stint than you are playing 40 minutes in the half. If anything, I'd prefer to be warm and stay warm rather than doing lotsa short stints.

He'll be fine regardless of the rules. Good coaches do the necessary prep work to minimise the risk of i jury to others.

Penalties are my only issue with JWH. I dunno how he can go about reducing them really. In a way part of his impact is that he toes the line of what's allowed an what isn't to the point where lots of the stuff he does that's legal gets penalised anyway. Also, he puts players in positions where their landing/flinching converts a legit tackle into a penalty because they end up with a forearm in the head as they try to dodge him (e.g. in one case he whacked George Rose right in the stomach... Rose's fat chin then flopped down into his forearm from the impact and JWH got pinged). I dunno how you coach something like that outta the guy really! The intent was never to smack the guy in the chin with his forearm but after the initial contact I don't feel it's really your job to move your arm outta the way as they fall (if anything, JWH's arm held him up and helped to support his back...etc). Tackles are too technical and the intent often gets lost by refs who are simply deciding whether or not [X] made contact with [Y].

the penalties is an issue. and not being paranoid but it's fair to say the refs/match review committee don't often give him the benefit of the doubt. you don't want him to change too much - but you don't want him spending too much time suspended.

What an absolute load garbage how in the world did Wighton and DCE influence a game more then Jared or BMoz in 2019 and SBW or Maloney or even Toops in 2013? It didn’t really bother me until I actually found out only 4 players have ever won the CCM from losing side in history and two of those occasions were against us such is the hate/bitterness towards Easts. The judges at last years CCM Mal Meninga, Brad Clyde (who voted for JWH from memory) and that Maroon twat Lockyer.
