    Scoring a Try
    A try is scored when:
a A player first grounds the ball in his opponents in goal
b Opposing players simultaneously grounds the ball in the in goal area
c A tackled player’s momentum carries him into the opponents in goal where he grounds the ball.

    Grounding
    Grounding the Ball includes:
a Placing the ball on the ground with hand or hands, wrist or forearm
b Exerting a downward pressure on the ball in contact with the ground
c Dropping on the ball and covering it with the front part of the body above the waist and below the neck.

A player who has had possession or touches/touched the ball and knocks the ball forward must regain possession (catch, hold or grip) prior to the ball hitting the ground, another player, goal post or cross bar.For the ball to be deemed grounded, pressure must be applied by the player’s fingers, hand, wrist, forearm or torso so as to create a reasonable influence on the plane of the ball including the spin, rotation, momentum or bounce.

Yeh wasn't a try IMO but they were never going to overrule it once it went up as a try.

How ridiculous was that? These days they can call knock on when the ball is in no way projected towards the opponents try line.....and then we have that one where even the cardboard cutouts could see it was a knock on. Anyhow i'm guessing with 1 referee these things are going to happen..... got to roll with the punches.

Id love to see that long shot angle of Burgess try they showed after it got the green light

that has been my hate in the game. if the ref doesnt see the grounding he still has to call a try or no try. Why cant he say ive got no fcuken idea i didnt see it, but instead he has to make a call. In that trys instance if it had gone upstairs as a no try what would they have ruled. Now also on the other hand if that was a defender retrieving the ball and was tackled and had the ball in a similar position would that grounding of the ball be enough to constitute as a grounding and if he loses it and the attacking team scores woulod they look at the grounding. fickle game. i think if the ref doesnt see it he shouldnt call on it and goes up withour a call and let the clowns in the box see if it was or wasnt a try

                rant over.

                nearly.

wtf is this moving the scum sh1t. how is that an improvement in the game. they changed the 6 again rule to speed up the game then throw this , where you moving the scrum to" (lets have a rest)...sheesh

                now the rant over

Totally agree with this , if the ref sends it upstairs leave it to the bunker instead of influencing the decision.

I’ll stay away from the bong water but I will continue to drink the hand sanitiser & injecting the disinfectant. I feel fantastic.
