I never thought the day would come but I agree with both Cockadooledoo and Melon. C*ck is 100% spot on in his assessment of Maloney offering something Anasta and Pearce have not, but I agree with Melon. One good season doesn't make a superstar (not saying that is what C*ck is saying).

and I agree with both you and Melon too... It would be more reassuring to see him back it up as we do not know how much of his form was helped by having Johnson inside him and a great pack of forwards in front of him.

Don't get me wrong, I like Friend. He is a fierce competitor. However as I have said in another post, in this day and age so much more is expected from a Captain off the field and I think Kennedy is better equipped to handle those aspects. I don't see it as a major concern with he and Pearce jointly handling onfield responsibilities. Pearce is hopeless off the field when it comes to the media aspects etc. I want the Roosters to be viewed as the most professional club in the comp (along with the most successful) so taking those aspects into consideration I still believe Kennedy is the man.

Pearce will never do himself any favours by hanging around pi$$head Carney.

While ever Anasta is fit & picked in the side I would think he would remain captain.
I think Pearce will take over mainly because he is on the field for 80 minutes & I actually think Pearce will become a better player.

On Maloney he is the type of player that will go better than what people thought I think.
