It’s a whole new comp when games can be postponed. Will next week’s game be delayed by a day to give us right turnaround? Only if it had happened to Storm.
This is a stitch up, NSW government announced this case yesterday - the league has had plenty of time to isolate and test all Bulldogs players and staff since then.
If Tolman has Covid he could have exposed the whole Dogs team.
Crazy times.
But Teddy had a fever last week, which is a symptom of covid and he was stood down. No one had said that he didn't have covid up until then.
I have heard commentators say that we have been handed the hardest draw out of all teams since the restart and if we have to still play Parra on Saturday with only 4 day turnaround, they sure are making it more difficult. Maybe someone in the squad needs to go down just so they get tested and hold up the game.
You can guarantee that Roosters would have been preparing for Eels game this week having already banked a win against Bulldogs even before they played it. Same thing happened last year when a player accidentally said they had 2 weeks to prepare for a hard game having written off the lower placed team they were playing. Not arrogance, just practical.
Surely we can't be expected to back up vs the Eels on 4 days notice.
thats the thing with Tolman. His kid has to self isolate for 10 to 14 days, so whether he tests positive or not, I can't see how he can play during his family member self isolation period, I also can't wrap my head around how this game can seemingly go ahead in 24 hours and not this afternoon if he's been around the whole damn team all week.
They will have Tolman's test results back by lunch today....if it's negative there's no reason to delay the match by over 24 hours, play it tonight ffs.
