after onlyv 4 games back the roosters will be 2 points off first place even if the raiders win . With a points diff of + 118 and our nearest parra being +69. The Minor premiership does not seem out of reach by any stretch ....

Who else will be in the 4?
Surely Parra, Storm, Raiders?
You'd think that 4 will pull away from the rest, except maybe Penruff and Easts B.
As long as we finish top 2 I think we will have a smooth run at the finals - final round is a friday night game, so one extra day into the QF, an advantage into the week off, then a warm-up game before the 3peat.
I am excited already.

I was really scared after those first two losses. However, in hindsight they were competitive, super narrow losses to the Riff and Manly.
Very glad that we've been able to get back on track. I still have concerns about our 2nd and 3rd quarters. Against the Doggies and Parra we faded during that spell. However, maybe this is because losing teams put everything into the third quarter and are spent by the 4th, whereas winning teams pace themselves to be able to sprint down the home straight.
Be interesting to know if this is a direct order from Robbo coz it put us in a position where we finished stronger, despite having Teddy and Radley off the field.
Having Jennings binned for 10 woulda helped (IMO that was a harsh call) but only so much. We reacted by lifting rather than fading when we lost 2 of our best.Last edited by ism22; 06-21-2020, 01:01 PM.

I thought it was harsh. Not wrong, but harsh. To me it's a binning if he's offside and then his conduct prevents a decent shot at a try.
Not against us or anything. Just saying.

They weren't much better last week, and were flogged by the Knights the week before.
Losing Grand Finalists tend to struggle the season after and that was the performance of a side that are destined for a 7th-8th finish and a limp dick finals exit.

roosters finish the round top 4. not a huge deal at this stage but we've done well since the restart.
In my books Raiders were always pretenders who were allowed to do 5-man strips all last season (so slowed down the ruck and got lotsa cheap possession that made it difficult to build pressure against them). This tactic is now dead thanks to awareness and rule changes.
