  • I’m a Flanagan fan

For a youngun, he’s goin great.
He’d be on a quarter of what Cronk got but delivering 50% more value
    ..it’ll be interesting to see

I just like the fact he can stick to a plan and execute it well. As long as we have Kleary playing off the cuff than we don't need Flanagan to do anything out of line.

Think he is going great, just needs some more oomph when kicking for goal, looks like they barely make the distance

looks solid. rads gone gives him a chance for a bit more ball playing.

Hes flown under the rader a bit, which is good. Everyone talks about Cleary, Croft, Pearce when he was young. Its puts a young player off to be talked about too much.

My only expectations of Flanagan are for him to:

                1. goal kick at 90%
                2. Stay out of the way

No let him grow into the position. What he doesn't need is to make silly mistakes and for his confidence to go down. If you saw Latrell's game yesterday and how he tried to be Teddy, Keary and BMoz all in one and failed. His confidence was shot! A season under his belt with this measured approach is what works well for Kyle, unless the circumstances change.

I'm a bit worried by this. Rads is such a huge loss and this will place so much more pressure on Flanagan. Rads is a great passer of the ball and is a realistic threat being a runner who can break through. Given this, there'll be a lot more pressure on Flanagan to also pose that threat to unleash the outside

Radley will be a huge loss , I'd like to see them go with Butcher at lock and keep Isaac off the bench with Collins to spell our front rowers.
Victor takes a lot of pressure off our halves with his ball playing and will be sorely missed.

He's won me over and eased any doubt I had about him. It took cronk longer to settle at the chooks. In saying the the chooks had to change for cronk thats while it took so long

Wait till we have our first loss and everyone on here will want to kill him.

He plays his role well. Nothing flashy. Just wouldn’t want him kicking from the sideline to win us a game.

yeah, will be interesting to see what robbo tells him to do. noted he was drifting out left last night a bit. he is still a work in progress and maybe we don't rush him to enforce his personality on the game but he looks a steady character and maybe we're happy to give him a bit more responsibility.
