Like everyone else I was stoked to see him nail the last kick. Especially with that classless gnome trying to put him off.

It kinda made up for the gift JAC try but we'll have to ride the highs and lows with him as he is still establishing himself in grade.

i see it slightly differently.
old man fred is clearly a league fan and clearly/probably a roosters fan. for that reason alone he's welcome here.
yes, he's unnecessarily abusive, but he's so over the top and so indiscriminately abusive that he's actually pretty funny.
when he crosses the line he will be banned and that's right and proper. but i don't have a problem with him coming back.
the only problem i have is when he abuses people who aren't into the tough talk. this is a roosters website and fans who just want to come here cos they love the roosters should be able to come here without feeling the necessity to prove themselves.

Surely there is a point where you just go too far and forfeit the right to use the "Im an Easts fan" excuse. You can't have no standards at all. As Buddy says this forum should be better than just accept abuse with no limits.

realistically, even if flanno wasn't going as well as he is, he would still be entitled to some patience, he keeps going on his current trajectory, this walker kid may be struggling to get a look in even in a year or 2 . still being in the easts system would be a valuable education before he goes to the titans to finish his career at the ripe old age of 21.

There should be no abuse , there should be lots of banter and that's a major difference . personally love the banter and the way Thirteen and some others have a joke or jibe , its the Aussie way but abuse should never be accepted . I had a crack at Mickie Lane a while ago that went a bit far and personally apologise for that , I don't know the bloke so to have a personal dig without knowing the true form and circumstance of someone is wrong. We are All Roosters fans and not vermin fans so we should stop acting like them

Agree how good is he going under Robbo and the rest of the staff , to take charge and basically demand the ball in the 78th min and ick that goal speaks volumes of his talent , even in a loosing game

i don't disagree with that. i guess - for me - that we are all easts fans is here is fundamental. i'm willing to forgive a fellow easts fan a helluva lot. when i read a post that i don't agree with i always imagine the poster writing it with a roosters cap, a roosters jersey and maybe a roosters tatt.
plus, let's not be precious, there are guys here who have been around the block and who dish it out. if you dish it out you should be able to take it.
but sure, it would be better if we were all more supportive of each other.

i'm not firm in my opinion of him. like i said when he erupted last time, if he's going to be so abusive then maybe he shouldn't come back. but again, if someone is a roosters fan then, in principle, i don't care where they've been and i don't care where they're going.

i didn't really say that members are precious in wanting a troll free zone, merely that old man fred didn't cast the first stone.

no doubt he goes over the top and when he gets banned he deserves it. but i think it's better to take his abuse with a grain of salt. it's so over the top and indiscriminate that it's kind of meaningless. would the website be better without him? maybe.

I think he is , massive improvement since the resumption of the comp , taking that kick in the 78th minute in last week's game was massive , has ability and confidence and with Robbo and Coops coaching him I reckon he can be special

I agree. The kid looks like a career halfback to me. Also very happy to see his goalkicking coming along nicely. I like that he celebrated after a couple of his kicks too.

Current Top points scorer. Top goal kicker. Less than 20 NRL appearances...Wow! He might not end up winning those accolades this year but he is doing great! I did see him a few games last year for the Sharks but like any young kid that appears on the scene, I though he just might be a flash in the pan. Great work Robbo, Fitzy and Coops! Bad news for the Sharks, great news for us!!!

too early to say how good he might be - just let the kid play footy. but he's only played a few games and is ticking every box. he's got a better left to right long pass than keary. hess ran at him all night and he never flinched. even in the try he hung on and teddy could have easily come in and held him up.
