Danny Weidler reporting that Warriors identify Roosters assistant Craig Fitzgibbon as the coach they want. Job is his if he wants it.

Fitzy would be nuts taking that role.

Kenty got it right that the Warriors have too many Kiwis in their side. I don't necessarily agree with him that they are nationalistic, but rather they have to pay overs to entice Aussie players to relocate to NZ. IMO unless NRL give them some salary cap dispensation then they are done.

take on a basket case and live in isolation for the remainder of the season. what's not to like.

would never happen but robbo is the guy they need. he'd unlock the talent in nz and seems to get on well the polynesian boys.

He may just be the man who could do what Robbo has done at the Roosters at the Warriors.

Would be the reason they moved and sacked Kearney early before Saints got Fitzy first.

Kent isn’t the first person to suggest the team have more Aussies.
          ..it’ll be interesting to see

who knows, you might be right.
robbo was asked a week ago about fitzy and he says he's one of the best coaches in the nrl but 'we've got plans to do something special here'.

Warriors and St. George are both rabbles who are in a deep mess. I would rather earn less and be second in charge of the team. Coaching is one of the most toxic jobs there is.

Cant belittle a guy for forwarding his opportunities but at what cost to premiership success?

No one can say a bad word about the guy so whatever he chooses to do should be supported by those who already sing his praises.

I'd hate to see Fitzgibbon leave. He's a a club legend, played over 200 games for the club, premiership winner, Churchill medal winner, state of origin winner & has played 20 odd games for Australia. His working combination with Robbo and the players is a proven success. He doubles as both a defensive & goal kicking coach- theres not much the guy doesn't know about the game. Best of all he is a perfect role model for any young player wanting to make it.

Warriors can take Nathan Brown who took over a train wreck at the Knights and has left a decent roster for Adam O'Brien.

                    Dragons can just get stuffed.

oh I agree. If he wants the job then good luck to him but I think any coach who takes on a rabble is under immense pressure from the get go.

I wonder if all the defence technique become intelligence property of the Roosters lol!

I dont know what the right formula is to fix the warriors, but I can never understand how the all blacks can be so good and the warriors be so bad.

Better off going to the Dragons... and that's saying something.

Impossible. The Warriors have got off field advantages that we can only dream off, but the capability of a 4yr old when it comes to actually leveraging them.
