Proud of the boys for a mighty effort in a great game of footy. We made far too many unforced errors tonight and were ripe for the plucking after a couple of huge efforts against Parra and saints when we were riddled with injuries.
Storm were very good and bustled us with their defence and their big boppers in the middle gave us a hard time all night. Hughes had a great running game and gave us plenty of headaches.
I was happy with our subs when they came on and held their own. The Morris brothers were superb and Keary down the short side once again showed his the best running half in the game.
Young flanno got hammered all night and stood up and his kick to level the game showed a lot of clock.
Unfortunately cords looks busted and the injuries are taking a toll on us. With the shortened season and no byes their will be no respite this year.
To those who thought Atkins was biased against us Klein showed what a real rorter looks like. He killed us with the 6 agains and it's not the ones you get pinged for its the ones you don't receive that hurts.
Nevertheless a great effort from the lads and hopefully no long term injuries.

Two heavyweights that have only had sparring partners so far this season. First real prize fight for each team. Both teams in the first half were awestruck, just trying to adjust to a worthy opponent that was almost equal in quality. I would have been refused entry to a nightclub for having a BPM too fast to dance to. Great game, poor result. At least Manu does not need to visit the laundromat before the next game.

The penalty at the end was granted its the 6 agains we didn’t get for the flops that’s really makes me angry.

Also I suggest everyone take a close look at the storm nock on before their field gold.

Gifting the Storm the ball after 2 short kick offs was utter suicide, we didn’t deserve the win!

That wasn’t the refs decision. He had no choice. It was stupidity on Friendys part.

One thing I've noticed in all our games so far is that the referee asks the tackler to move and a second or two later he's still hanging on with nothing done.

JWH looked injured and didn't play many minutes - 39 - Toops looks like a high ankle injury - Cords I think will be rested next week as two head knocks in succession

Would love th see the mini knock on again and confirm either way. At initial look I thought it was. Toups has been great for many weeks and years. Everyone can have a bad game. Stay strong everyone. We get them next on our home turf so can’t wiat for that one. Klein won’t be there for that.

i should have made myself clearer about the ref. It was the 6 agains we didn’t get from the holding down, wrestling and flops by storm that would have seen us with a lot more possession but they got heaps of them. This was adjudicated unfairly. We handed them the win with our stupid errors. They scored mostly off our handling errors .but despite that im very proud because had we been in fair form storm would have been thrashed.
