I don't know if they can afford to rest him though- head bandage was because of the head clash last game - NRL injury site has Coords and Toops as head knock injuries- unless Toops head is near his ankle its not correct - def an ankle injury forced him from the field

I didn't think tupou was terrible until about the 75th minute he caught everything . but yea then when it really counted he dropped it, put him down for a 7 out of 10.

You’re too kind. I think Toups is great and has been solid as a rock for years but his 2 dropped kicks cost us the win. 2/10 for mine.

I think a few members need to take a Bex and have a good lie down. We just lost to very a good football team in golden point. For mine Melbourne had the better of the match and we were huge to get out by 10 points with 8 or 9 mins to go and then to lead 25 to 24 with 40 seconds to go. Yes we should have won from both positions and Tupes didn’t have his best moments but he has been huge for the past 7 years and more than deserves a break. The penalty off the first short kick off when we were 10 up was 50/50 and the there was the potential knock on before the field goal not to mention the lying all over us with no 6 again. The reality is we made to many errors, some players had off nights and we were unlucky (I.e. Cords stays down and gets treated instead on trying to get up an play the ball is one example). It happens. We came in with Liu, Rads and Verrills out and finished with Tupes, Collins and Cords injured. It was a good effort. This is the best we have, the storm got the rub of the green and now we are 5 and 3 and likely outside the top 4 by Monday.
I saw a bunch of our young blokes get extended time when the game was on the line so they know what to do in the finals if we get there. It was about development and faith.
we all need to be supporting next week when we go to Townsville as we really need the win to keep pace with the top 4, likely without Tupes and possibility Cords and Collins to add to our injury problems.
winning three in row hasn’t happened in 37 years for a good reason and we are feeling it at the moment. Maybe it won’t happen but it doesn’t mean it can’t? But don’t forget it could be 2021 if the team develops.

Two final thoughts before I head to bed and have nightmares over that final 10 minutes...

1) do we ever catch the ball from an opposition short kick off? We seem to lose it every time.

2) still in awe of the team. A horrenodus 63% completion rate, brutal exhaustion after multiple short turnarounds and injuries, and yet we still had 6 line breaks to 1 and still busted our guts.

We played all the good footy. Storm just kissed on the dick tonight... by Klein and the footy Gods. But you can never fault our effort.

I will maintain that the toll of the last 6 days has been horrendous. Down two players for the season, compounding injuries and no byes in a top 4 dogfight after blowing that game...

Maybe but Suncorp is a box and the sound just reflects everywhere PLUS the fact that it's not full, it's very annoying. I don't get why we need music blasting whenever there is a break in the game. Maybe I'm old school before the PA system was invented.

It’s the 6 agains we didn’t get. I think the ref had a substantial role in storms win tonight. How appalling for a golden point to be decided not on the best team but a ref decision in front of goal.

Then blame Friend not Klein. It was a fair penalty.
