i think u are drawing a long bow there with that comment. Other than st merge (who did actually win a title and theortically thats two teams there he has coached) he only coached two other teams..parra and newcastle. Both have been a basketcase at the top level of administration for many years.

Considering that Smithy tends to be signed to clean out and imDprove clubs that already have issues I'm not surprised he hasn't won a GF, given the job description he's given when he starts.

Different coaches have different strengths. Smith's is his ability to cull the deadwood and deadshits (if allowed to by hierarchy) and get the best out of young blokes and lesser lights. He's what we needed when he came to the Roosters and has done what he was employed to do. So why anyone would criticise him I don't know. He's done his job, which is more that can be said for many of the players.

and none of the other current 12 coaches have ever won an NRL title so Smith has many in his company

That's where you're wrong.. He has coached more than 4 clubs. Remember, I said "any" grade.
